high Holborn is nothing in itself - a typically dirty London road with a mix of the usual shops alongside some more interesting independent ones. However, look out for the more unusual things - alongside the beauty of the Prudential Building, many of the side streets lead down to the legal Temples of London, with their buildings housing legal chambers... If you are looking for a place to stay in London anywhere around here is great if a little busy for traffic. There are loads of points of interest within a short walk plus great shops and restaurants and it is a safe area. Also transport links are amazing with 3 tube lines, loads of buses, Kings Cross St Pancras... More

After arriving at Covent Garden Underground Station, we had explored Covent Garden on foot. We then walked on up to the Leister Square area to explore that area. From Leicester Square, we walked up Shaftesbury Avenue which then took us on into High Holborn. High Holborn is a significant thoroughfare from Holborn through to Charing Cross Road. Whilst walking along... More

Strolling from Holborn underground station eastwards, it might appear at first sight that this street is not particularly special. But wait, look closely at the London Rosewood (hotel) and see what a great building is here, previously occupied by Pearl Assurance, with a fabulous interior courtyard. And soon enough, one enters the legal areas with Chancery Lane off to the... More

This is a great area, 0.5 mi to the British museum, arguably the Best museum in the world! Has multiple stops on the tube's central line. There are local M&S and Tesco, SportsConnection.com shops and my favorite, a pub that serves beer from Yorkshire's oldest brewery, Cittie of York, and they have Samuel Smith's double stout on tap, BONUS! or...
