Attended to see as I did the St Paul’s Cathedral and as a Muslim felt obligated to make a dua at a mosque.
It saddens me that the Christian world emphasis and make such efforts to attract people to their place of worship and the muslims in England have not.
The carpet was beautiful and the chandelier and that’s it.
No information and nothing to enlighten the uninformed.
The ladies bathroom was shocking. No toilet paper and no bidet. After no2 you literally have to hand wash and then nothing to dry. Gets worse after you wash your hands again nothing to dry no paper towel no dryer.
So sad that hygiene is being negotiated in a place of worship, especially Islam.
I’m sure the wealthy of London give enough sadaka to fund for this.
The London Central Mosque definitely needs so tlc

Not ideal for a school trip. Not worth the money that was paid towards it. The person who led the tour had very backward opinions and rushed us out of the mosque. Very unpleasant to treat visitors like this.

Nearly 50 years after seeing the early foundations of the mosque being laid, I finally went inside. What an experience! My only complaint is that the website isn't half as warm, open and welcoming as the staff and other visitors were to us. So don't let that put you off. Allow plenty of time to walk round, yes, but also allow yourself space for spiritual reflection and openness . So many people were so pleased we visited and showed an interest and were ever so willing to answer questions and share their beliefs. Think: The bigots, racists and Little Englanders would hate you to visit a mosque. A good reason to do your bit for love, peace and understanding. A beautiful place.

Always enjoy visiting and praying at Regents Park Masjid or known as London Central Mosque .
A lovely spiritual oasis when one is out and about in the worldly domain of Central London .
A great worship place for all Family members .
Lovely Halal food available in Food hall downstairs and reasonably priced .

I was there during Jummah prayer. The mosque was so crowded we had to go to the basement, so if you want to pray in the beautiful main area - be early!

The mosque is just breathtaking both outside and inside, and all of the people there had such a strong sense of community.
I can’t really explain how amazing the experience was - you truly have to experience it yourself to understand!

I went to visit the mosque when I first came in London years ago. I saw a mosque only in Morocco but we weren’t allow to go in, so I was pretty happy this mosque was open to visitors.
I went for an informative meeting about Islam. It was ok, there were I think three people talking, they weren’t talking gibberish so everybody could understand. It was nice, but the last person who talked said things in contradiction with the other two, and underlining differences with another religion in a sort of strong way. That’s the feeling I got when I used to read book about Islam, that everybody give their own version of it. In doubt, we could ask questions. Anyway, it is good that they hold open meetings to talk about Islam because it can bring more social reciprocal tolerance and it is in line with UK values (at least as in written laws).
The rest of the mosque was quite an experience: they let us visit the male part (even if we were partly women and with our head uncovered) while men were praying and another time I went to the female part just sitting down. There was nothing but a religious atmosphere and I liked the openness to (respectful) visitors.
