Head to the top floor for one of the most superb collections of Lego surrounded by the coolest gadgets and games. Love Hamleys Toy Store.

This place is big, especially for England. If you plan on going here anywhere near Christmas, be prepared for juvenile madness. It's a frenetic mess. If you can get past that, then I would be surprised if you were unable to find the game or toy you came for, unless it's out of stock. If you've kids or are a... More

Omg this shop is busy like no other 5 floors of wall to wall toys & kids the heat in the place was way too uncomfortable the higher you go the hotter it is, they have staff on guard at every floor at escalator which they definitely need, you need eyes in the back of your head to keep an... More

The store is every child's dream. It is very friendly, cool, expensive but it connects you to your inner child. Lovely place to visit if you also fancy star wars merchandise and cholouring markers

We visited Hamleys on a weekend day during December. Needless to say, the store was absolutely jammed, but even so, this is a destination for the toy and game afficianado.

We know it was incredibly busy, nothing stood out as being special or different from other toy shops definitely not Christmassy. The windows looked nice and festive though. It would be nice to see some old traditional/ retro things' too especially sweets. Overall the store seemed drab. We never thought we would ever say this about hamleys 😞

We booked tickets to see Santa at Hamleys regent street for our 5 year old daughter, she was very excited! When we got there there were no signs to direct us to his grotto although staff were helpful dispute how busy it was. When we got to the grotto names were called out and sticker name tags were given to... More

Took my 5 year old to Hamleys yesterday and the look on her face of just pure excitement was what its all about. A must see & do. Yes its a bit more pricy but its not B & M. Saying that the Frozen doll she chose was reduced so it was actually cheaper. She will remember the trip forever... More

Wow, packed to the brim with Christmas shoppers. If you have to use the lift be prepared to wait. Some great bargains and the staff are all happy and helpful even though they must have wanted to scream with the crowds. Would not like to go with young children as you would never get out as there is so much... More

Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
