This is a convenient and comfy way to see the city and really, who hasn't imagined riding on the top of an open, double-decker red bus? It ticked all the boxes. I'd say that... read more

My partner and I are Londoners. We had family visiting with young children for 2 days and were asked to book a hop-on-hop-off bus tour for the day during their 2 day visiting to London for the first time. We were a party of 7, arrived to verify our tickets about an hour and a 40 minutes before a show... More

Picked up the tour on the Bayswater Road then got onto the main route on Park Lane. The weather on the day was perfect which helps. The commentary via headphones was interesting and informative the staff were helpful. You can see all the sights in a couple of hours and hop on and off as you please. Overall great value😀

Pretty good way to get an overview of the history of London. A lot of the info was really interesting and I don't think you would find out a lot of it if you just walked around. Tour guides were knowledgable and witty. Had to wait at one stop over half an hour when it said a bus came every... More

On a busy traffic day this sightseeing tour is becoming more the original traffic jam tour. Luckily a boattrip was included so we could move on a little faster! London is getting too crowded for tours like this. Moreover the airquality is very poor, so these buses should be electric!

If you just want to watch the world go by, then this is for you. If you want to get arround London, take the tube. The traffic is so slow it takes ages to get anywhere, and hence the buses have no chance to keep to any schedule. We did enjoy the half hour cruise on the Thames river included... More

We had a great time on the bus. We couldn't have seen London if we didn't take it. Hop on a d hop off let's us spend time that we needed. The sites were wonderful and live guides did an excellent job. Buses were clean. The drivers were very very knowledgeable. I would suggest that you take the bus that... More

This is a convenient and comfy way to see the city and really, who hasn't imagined riding on the top of an open, double-decker red bus? It ticked all the boxes. I'd say that the live guided tours were far and away better than the audio tours. That live interaction can't be beat. One of our tour guides turned our... More

We purchased a 48 hour ticket for the Original Tours hop on hop off bus. The person on board commentating as we travelled was terrific and approachable. Note there is only a person doing this on the T1 English bus, the other have audio commentary in a number of languages. We found the bus took a very long time to... More

Hop on Hop Off provides several different tours of London and different packages. The main tours take you to all the major sights such as the Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, etc. As the name implies, you can get off the bus to explore any sight and then board the next bus to carry on your tour. There is a... More

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
