    Brilliant Experience
We visited yesterday to see the Lion King. It was a brilliant performance and all the staff were excellent. The theatre was evacuated in the second half, but all staff acted promptly and the audience were allowed back in after the Fire Service had attended and the performer resumed without a hitch. The previous reviewer has complained that they deserve a refund, which I don't think is fair...I guess next time they would prefer to stay while the rest of us are evacuated?!

Impressive and outstanding show, expensive drinks though.
We had initially bought 2 tickets £30 each, 3 raw stalls, as I was on duty did not buy it, I was lucky not to work so I could buy the 3rd ticket, which cost me £120 stalls right at the back. Ok decision last minute, pay the high price. The show is amazing, the actors, the sound, the scenography and the music , live played included, we have seen many many shows in the west end and I have to say, London offers a lot for all taste, so all really impressive. However if you are looking for wine £13 and ice cream £5, or other drinks I find extremely expensive, so be ready to leave your wallet, especially if you have a large family.

lyceum theatre - the lion king
I had a wonderful time here watching my first West End show - The Lion King! The theater is huge and very spacious. My seat was pretty far off to the side but still had great views of the stage. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful show, but dissatisfied with the stewards in the theatre.
Wonderful from start to finish with outstanding costumes and beautiful singing, this timeless classic is definitely one to see again and again. The only thing that let it down for us was the late comers, that interrupted not once but twice during the first half of the performance, we missed some of the story line. I thought if you were late you weren't allowed in? Considering you nearly pay nearly £400 for a family of four you would expect no disturbance during the show. Also one of your stewardess was not professional when my husband tried explaining how frustrating it was to have to get up and down from your seat whilst trying to watch the show, only to told why don't you just sit down then. Then to top it off, the three men who were late comers didn't even watch the show and were on their phones most of the time. Also quite distracting because of the light that comes from phones in the dark. Such a shame for what could of been a perfect show.

Great show. Reasonable Accessibility. Strange late comers policy.
Building first. One of the greatest biggest theatres in London. Wheelchair access is to left of main door and is down a sloping corridor to rear of stalls. I was with my nieces. 13 and 16. There are two chair spaces at the extreme side of the back row. Floor slopes forward which is uncomfortable for 2.5 hours. Near to bar and the ( tiny ) accesible loos. As it’s the back row late comers we’re admitted, regular intervals, for 1st 30 minutes. Distracting. Accessible loo was used by ordinary audience members. Bit frustrating. Show was colourful and with great costume, set and lighting. Some of the animal costumes and prosthetics, animatronics, were excellent. Hyenas, Elephants, giraffe, warthog. An enjoyable afternoon.

Review is for theatre, not Lion King
We went to see Lion King at the theatre and honestly, amazing!!! My review is not about the Lion King 🦁 The theatre itself… 1. Drinks are wayyyy to overpriced. We had a Pepsi and a gin & tonic - £14.90 2. You can’t have glass bottles in the actual theatre but people can have class wine/champagne glasses? 3. The seats are so uncomfortable.

New Paro Indian Restaraunt at Lyceum Theatre, London
New Paro Indian Restaraunt beneath Lyceum Theatre - we were invited in on day two of opening. Friendly with a 50% discount until end of September! Very well made food - all dishes were tasty, used good ingredients and provided some new vegetarian options to the South Asian food that we have had before. Even the rice was a delight. Recommend the black lentils and also mango and pomegranate chat. Excellent addition t the Covent Garden eating scene

    Lion King performance was amazing
Great show (Lion King) we were seated in the grand circle and had a great view. However the theatre itself is in need of a good clean, the cornices and lighting were think with dust that looked light it had been there years. However this did not distract from the performance. Bar is very over priced so be warned if you’re making a visit.

    Amazing experience
We booked a couple of weeks in advance for the Lion King, we always wanted to go to one of these shows in an old style theatre, it was worth the wait. Everything was just so nice, the seating and view were great (Royal Circle just right of the middle), the atmosphere was fantastic, the refreshments were great too. The show itself was absolutely breath taking, the props were incredible, the acting was outstanding and the whole thing was just an amazing experience. It’s not cheap but worth every penny

    Very Good Show
We went to see Lion king and paid extra for the ambassador suite with a drink and nibbles. Well worth the extra and the seat where great with a good view. Think Lion King is more for kids than adults but overall had a good time. Wouldn’t return but purely because that’s me.

On 20/03/04 my daughter and myself went to see the Lion King in the Lyceum Theatre. We were waiting in the Royal Circle Bar for the show to start when I was taken ill I passed out and was violently sick which was truly frightening. I want to thank 2 of your staff, David and Kaleigh for what they did to help me. They were amazing after sorting me out we were able to take our seats and watch the show was truly wonderful. Thank you once again to you both.

To the management .
You should be very proud of the staff that work for you.

Just a short walk from the Covent Garden tube station is this beautiful theatre showing the Lion King.

Greeted by really friendly and helpful staff the whole experience was positive.

The auditorium is comfortable and the seats have plenty of leg room which isn’t always the case in these older theatres.

A perfect setting for the Lion King.

Wow, what a great traditional theatre. Really nice old fashioned decor. The only problem getting to the seats we had to climb about 5 flights of steep stairs.

We visited to watch the Lion king and had a wonderful evening. The theatre itself is stunning with some gorgeous features.

We opted to pay a bit extra for the ambassador lounge which really made the evening - we got a table in the lounge where we could leave our coats and it included a couple of drinks (table service), a programme and ice cream during the interval. The staff were lovely and took you down to your seats prior to the show starting.

We came to the Lyceum theatre to see Disney’s The Lion King, which was fantastic, however as this is a review about the Lyceum Theatre itself, I thought I might raise a few concerns/ issues we had with our trip.

First of all was the accessibility side of things, my girlfriend (wheelchair user) and I had to stand out in the busy cold London weather for about 15 minutes before somebody a member of staff took us into the accessible entrance, he was very polite, waited for us as we went to the toilets and then explained everything and took us to our seats,

My main issues lurk with the end of the show, a woman brings my girlfriend her wheelchair, and instead of offering any sort of support (not blocking the lane so she can transfer, etc.) she decides to just wander off, not telling us where to go for merch, the exit, etc.

We were honestly both gobsmacked at the lack of respect felt, we then had to fight through crowds of arrogant people just to get her transferred and into her wheelchair so we can move out of the way of people, we then spent an excess of 10 minutes finding the access exit as nobody would even bag an eye at us, quite upsetting for an otherwise great experience really

We had tickets bought for us for a Christmas Present to see the Lion King at the Lyceum Theatre, Thurs 8 Feb at 19:30. The place is so easy to find and we walked from Waterloo over the bridge and the building is directly opposite you next to the Wellington Inn. Anyway we had seats J14/J15 in the Royal Circle and these were superb and cost £65 each. We arrived a little early at 18:45 and were allowed straight in up to the Royal Circle bar area. We bought a drink each and then out of the blue a waiter team member came over and asked us both if we would like to be admitted in to the Ambassador VIP Lounge area as they had two people booked in who had cancelled. This was such a pleasant surprise for us and we sat in complete luxury with about 30 others waiting to be taken to our seats prior to the show. We had another drink in the lounge during the interval and were also allowed to leave our coats and bags in there until after the show. We certainly had the most amazing experience and really enjoyed what was a fantastic show. This Theatre is just immaculate and the staff wonderful and friendly. If you have never been before it is certainly worth a visit. Thank you.

Beautiful place. Comfortable seats, awesome view even way up in the grand circle. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Special shout out to the access team, its truly amazing that it's someone job to ensure everyone needs are met. The service warmed my heart as much as the joy of the show ( lion king)

Booked last minute. Great seat row K in the stalls. Bought a medium glass of rosé wine upon arrival and paid contactless, The show was amazing, however checked my bank statement the next day and saw I had been charged £16 for 1 medium glass of wine. !! That is extortionate I have contacted the company querying this and I’m waiting for a response.
