I would thoroughly recommend this attraction. It is good to combine with taking a ferry from Embankment. Very convenient as you can use your Oyster card on both the ferry and the cable car. You are quite high up so you get good views.

We wanted something different to do whilst visiting London so decided to ride a cable car. We were expecting it to be over in about 2 minutes but it lasted longer than that and we loved it! There were no queues and we had a car to ourselves (2 of us). The views were brilliant. The music was good too.... More

Great views over the Royal Docks and Greenwich and O 2. Unfortunately for us there was an 80 mph wind. They accepted our money and let us on but halfway across the cable car stopped and then restarted. When we got to the other side they informed us that we needed to get off and could not return via the... More

It's pleasent to see London from above but you will not see the Big Ben From here. You can skip it if you don't have time but if you are in the region why not go for one direction.

On a day of super touristy things I decided to put my fear of heights and small enclosed spaces to the test with a trip across the Thames. Arriving mid morning on a still and overcast Saturday at the Greenwich Peninsula. I wouldn't recommend to visit on a wet and windy day as the visibility would be significantly reduced. Surprisingly... More

I recently stayed near the O2 arena to attend a conference at the Excel. The tube map indicated the cable cars were available when we were planning our trip, but I had no idea what a great asset they would be. In fact with a reduced fare of 2 pounds for Excel attendees (my husband also got charged the same... More

We thought this would be very spectacular but due to bad weather conditoins we didn't see very much. They also had to stop the cable car for a while because there was too much wind. It's fun to do it once adn with good weather conditions. A return tickets is a waste of money.

We booked the experience which included a round trip and a visit to the experience centre (the latter being small and just OK). All over in about 40 minutes. The "flight" itself was a great experience with yet more views of the East of London. No queues at all at 11am on a Thursday and a totally hassle free experience.... More
