This is an excellent, mid sized gallery, positioned in central London and easily accessible. It has a lovely little café in its interior - much can be viewed from the tables, and a small but well stocked book shop. Entrance prices are very reasonable. I went particularly to see the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours Exhibition, on during... More

This small gallery is just near the Trafalgar Square end of The Mall so is easy to reach from Charing Cross tube station or even Piccadilly Circus. It is not large, so one can see all of their exhibitions in about an hour. The little cafe there serves nice snacks and the bookshop/giftshop always tempts me. I bought two paintings... More

First visit to this hidden gem that visitors to this particularly touristy part of central London might easily miss. We've certainly walked right past it previously. Our visit coincided with the preview of The Wapping Street Artists 71st annual exhibition, the central theme appearing to be life on and around The Thames. We were impressed. Being the opening preview, inevitably... More

The Mall Galleries is a wonderful place to see paintings dome a wide spectrum of artists, We have been many times and it is only £3 entrance fee. Often it is free to view. They have a nice small cafe and shop. Well worth a visit to kill a couple of hours whilst in London. Very pleasant visit for my... More

Well, most galleries are calm but this one is quite unusual in that it is so close to Trafalgar Square. the Mall Gallery is host to a series of exhibitions featuring portrait artists, watercolourists, and less often photographic work. I must've been here 20 or 30 times. It's a lovely place to drop in because you can absorb everything at... More

Good variety of exhibitions...all very well hung. Friendly staff. Very small entrance fee...sometimes free. Nice little coffee shop, sandwiches, cakes and pastries. Space to hang coats, seating, toilets. Sometimes have workshops and demonstrations...all told a good experience for all!

The Mall Galleries are just a short stroll from Trafalgar Square and hold a succession of exhibitions throughout the year, showcasing the work of contemporary artists. Annual exhibitions include The Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours, The Pastel Society, and the New English Art Club. Happened to come across this place whilst out for a walk in St James Park and whilst his particular art exhibition was free apparently not all are. There is a good cafe inside and whilst we didn't sample the fare we did have a look at it and it seemed to be reasonably priced for the centre of London. There... More
