Loved every minute. We were slightly blocked as at the side but amazing view of almost every point on stage and such an amazing musical. Thoroughly enjoyed it

As the title says the children in this play are absolute superstars. This was mine and my fiance's first experience of a West End show and we loved every minute of it. The show is perfectly put together and entertaining from start to finish. We...More

This was my daughter's choice for her 18th birthday celebration. I didn't know anything about the show and have never been to this theatre before. We were in the stalls, row C. I wouldn't have wanted to be any nearer to the stage. Row A...More

A wonderful story of young Matilda who uses her very special talents to overcome adversity and dispatch the horrible adults in her life, not literally thankfully for the very young audience. The set was amazing and well utilised throughout, with desks and classroom boards appearing...More

I was not happy when my wife bought tickets and felt a little out of place when many of the seats around me were filled by little girls. The show was quite entertaining and worth the price

Before writing this review I looked at the lowest rated reviews...they really must have been at a different musical! The sets were exciting and colourful and really interacted with the choreography of the dancers and the songs. The songs were catchy and funny and the...More

When I lived in London, I struggled to find tickets for this popular show. After moving out of the UK, and coming back on holiday I made sure I got a ticket to round off my trip back to London. At around 90 pounds a...More

The set design is a work of genius and the ensemble playing by the cast is magnificent. Children and adults offered a seamless professionalism choreographed to faultless precision (even when a slight technical hiccup caused a restart in the finale). Using adults to play older...More

I took my 8 year old here and she loved it. It really was a tremendous show, the music was wonderful. The actors did a great job and the show was unique while staying with the original books plot. My only complaint is that at...More

We are going to see this at the end of September as my daughters 6th birthday treat, shes currently reading the book, She is obsessed with the soundtrack, knows several of the songs of my heart, and I know she will want to meet 'matilda' and 'miss honey'. Can anyone tell me whether they make a appearance at stage door after a matinee performance?

It depends on the day, but they usually do stagedoor matinees. You and your daughter will be able to meet and take pictures with Miss Honey and all the adults but not with Matilda or any of the kids. You could talk to them... More

What age group would you say this show is suitable for? I'd love to take my son next year as it will be local to us. My son will be 5 years old, but a colleague who has seen it says he might be too young for it? I'd appreciate opinions from others who have seen it!

I think 5 is a little young for the show. Some of the content is quite dark and confusing for a 5 year old. I would say 7 years and over would be ok.

Hi You could try ShowandStay for packages. Alternatively one of the Premier Inn's for the room, or the Strand Palace hotel is not too far and a good price. Hope you enjoy the show as much as we did.
