Great place to relax or be active
Wide variety of activities. Has the Thames on one side, and good neighborhoods surrounding it. They have gardens, a peace pagoda, a Go Ape, a lake for boating, a bandstand, a playground, and even a small zoo! zoo. I'd guess it is about 1/3 of a mile across by 2/3 of a mile long. Plenty of places sit back and take it all in.

    Take your time and enjoy.
Battersea Park and Gardens are a wonderfully relaxing place and only a few minute’s walk from the busy heart of the city. The guide says that there over 4,000 trees in the park, some of them 170 years old. Intermingled with the parklands are a number of historic gardens. We walked amongst the gardens, the ponds and under the massive English trees with our young grandchildren for nearly two hours. There are play areas, sports grounds and numerous walks. The area is generally safe for supervised children but we aware of a number of water features that are not fenced. All the while you are wandering through the park and gardens you are aware that you are only meters away from the mighty Thames. Just taking the riverside walk alone is relaxing. It is a wonderful location to watch the activity on the river and to look at the lovely setting of Chelsea directly across the river. One feature dominating the landscape of the part is the Peace Pagoda. The very photogenic oriental pavilion is open to the public to walk around and enjoy, or rest a while in peaceful contemplation. If you put aside two hours you still may not see and experience all the park and gardens have to offer.

    Great park
This is a really nice public park. There is an outside running loop which is nice and wide. Transport was easy via bus to the Park and there are a few entrances. I was attending an organised runthrough 5k event. I don’t live in the area but if I did it would be great to train at this Park!!

    Lovely park
Wow what a lovely park for a walk. On one side is the Thames and you can walk from Chelsea Bridge to Albert Bridge alongside the river passing the The London Peace Pagoda in the middle. There are lots of different paths running across and through it but I walked mainly round the outside so passed Go Ape and the Boating Lake which has the Pear Tree Cafe next to it which is very nice.

    Lovely Place for a stroll
Battersea Park is right next to the River Thames and a huge park in South London. Battersea Power Station is nearby and the station for the Northern Line. Alternatively the closest railway stations are Battersea Park which is served by the Southern Railway with trains from Victoria going to parts of South London. There is also Queenstown Road Battersea which is served by South Western Railway with trains from Waterloo and Vauxhall going to parts of South West London. There are plenty of paths to stroll along and benches galore where you can sit and relax and admire the nature. Highly recommended.

    Afternoon stroll
Must admit didn’t know there was a Battersea Park until today, but wow were we impressed. Clean, felt safe, big space, lovely walk alongside the Thames and lots to see and do. Shame it was winter as would have gone on the boating lake for sure. Well done Wandsworth Borough. Fantastico

    Open Space, Easy Walking
It is always great to visit Battersea Park. Beautiful gardens surrounded by established trees and in the centre of London. The paths are wide and it is easy walking. Great for young families, couples and grandparents too. A good place to escape the hustle and just relax.

Huge park with lots of options for sport! Just across the Thames
Beautiful, large, safe park to walk through with a child. Nice, large playground in the park as well as tennis courts, etc. We saw many people walking their dogs. There are boats although they were closed for service when we were there. The pond in the center has ducks, geese, etc. We walked through the park to get to the small zoo in the center which was small but interactive. Apparently there is a mini golf course at this park too that we missed! We will be back to play here absolutely.

We spent the best part of 2 hours here today, more or less walking around the perimeter as well as exploring the paths around the lakes and ponds. The park was very busy but it is still peaceful and beautiful, one of the most impressive parks outside of central London.

Lovely great park. Has a big pond. Too busy with people and dog walkers. Parts of it too urbanised. Worth finding the quieter spots to appreciate nature.
