Book your visit online

Be aware! It ususally only opens on Saturdays, so definitely plan ahead, book online! I was able to tour in less than one hour at lunch break, was great!

This was our last stop on our spring break- and it really did exceed our expectations....I'm not sure what I was expecting- but we did the audio tour and both of us were completely impressed with the history and architecture....we both thought Parliament and Churchill War Rooms were our surprise favorites (and we tried to see it ALL). Definitely add... More

Be brave and face the crowds because Westminster is definitely a must see for any visitor to London. If you book ahead, it's possible to watch parliament in session. Otherwise, a stroll along the side of the Thames or a river cruise are great ways of passing a few hours. I visited the day after a lunatic driver ran down... More

Very scenic area; London at its prime. Great for some photos and to check out the old architecture. Definitely worth the visit!

The walk from Westminster Abbey to Trafalgar Square doesn't take long and you get to see a lot and there is lovely architecture. The cleanest and best red phone booths are also here in this area. Don't miss seeing 10 Downing Street and the Royal Guard. Mind your valuables though. This is a busy place with lots of locals and... More

It is one of the greatest attractions in London- a place full of tourists but magic- the light, architecture, movement. I loved being there and sightseeing all around.

Quite an impressive building and incredible architecture. Also nearby several other notable attractions. There is a little square across the street that always seems to be filled with campers/protestors of one sort or another so there is current world political angle to visiting this impressive building

Staying in Westminster

Neighbourhood Profile
Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
