The area
Neighbourhood: City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.

Visited as we had seen that there was a free to enter rooftop terrace with views of St Pauls. The view is very limited as the parapet consists of a sloping metal roof cutting out the view of anything below parapet height. I was stupid enough to buy a drink from the rooftop bar which cost over 22 quid for a pint and a wine served in a plastic glass and when you try to walk to the parapet with your drink you are told you are not allowed to leave a specific area. Don't waste your time here and book the free Sky garden instead. There are toilets in the basement of the shopping mall but my wife said the ladies was disgusting.

Not as good as hyped. Free viewing points are always welcome in the city, and this one with its close up of St Paul's is s bit different and unique, that said aside from that view, the rest isn't anything special. If you are passing it's worth a quick stop, but I wouldn't make a trip just for it.

Spectacular view of St Paul and surroundings from the rooftop terrace. There is a glass elevator to the 6th floor of this new office building shopping center that takes one to this hidden gem of a place.
On a clear day the views are awesome of St Paul’s Cathedral Dome and the rest of London. One can distinguish several key buildings and landmarks from above.

First of all the waiters were unfriendly and did not seem competend enough to help us in any way.
Besides that there were multiple hairs in my food, which definitly were not mine.
The view is pretty nice tho but I would not recommend visiting the Restaurant and bar there as the food is disgusting and the service is incompetend

As two people.
We ascended the glass elevator to the top floor of this shopping center nearby Saint Paul's Cathedral for a magnificent view. There are many nice restaurants, if rather expensive ones, located in this district- not far from one of the best art museums in London (in my opinion).

Now many shops are empty in it, and the roof terrace is now closed after their were suicides from it, although the bar on the top is still open.
M&S and Boots still there, but the pandemic has had a lasting effect on it.
Strangely despite the number of closed shops in it and on Cheapside and elsewhere in the City of London, the City of London is still giving permission to new buildings with yet more retail units.

The quick ride up on the elevator with its glass walls and the views of St Paul's Cathedral are mesmerizing. The rooftop has amazing views over London and you can walk around or simply sit down and relax. It tends to be busy but when you watch over the rooftops of London, you can dream away and dream big. Love the fact that you can let your eyes travel across the rooftops of London's skyline. Not the best skyline as there are some atrocious buildings in central London fighting to get taller than the next building but that space and view is lovely nevertheless.

Called in as we had read about the reviews on here. The glass lift is fantastic with a view of at Paul’s on the way. The roof top terrace has some amazing views out over London. There’s a bar/restaurant up there too. We had a beer and enjoyed the view. Best of all, it’s free.

One New Change lies right in heart of Central London quite close to St. Paul's Cathedral. Biggest highlight of this place is the rooftop which gives view of London Skyline for free. The view is almost as mesmerizing as from the Shards skyscraper nearby but there you have to pay.

Unfortunately magic of rooftop doesn't match with the staff who were very dull on any query. The shops are flashy but filled with staff who don't show concerns to generate sales. Restaurants are catchy especially at rooftop but the staff just puts you off with their unwelcoming attitude.

I recommend to go for the view and dine outside anywhere nearby. A perfect combo.
