I've been to military aviation museums all over the U.S. and other countries, and this has some of the most unique aircraft I've seen. Rare German aircraft like the Heinkel He 111, Me 109 and the Stuka are on display. British biplanes and Spitfires and...More

It is a great place to visit for everyone, even those not fans of planes (such as myself). Very interesting and big museum!

The number of aircraft packed into these enormous hangers is outstanding. It's difficult to get a real appreciation of the size of an airplane until one sees it up close. Here you get just that. Some of the jet aircraft are huge. The variety of...More

After visiting the Imperial war museum a few years ago I thought it was a good idea to come to this quite remote area in London to see more of the Royal Navy in it's own museum. To be honest, I expected more ! Probably...More

I visited this museum at the end of my trip to the UK. It is a bit far from London, and transportation could be tricky sometimes. The best way to reach this museum is to take a train from Camden (Northern line to Colindale, from...More

Visited with my 5yr old daughter and she really enjoyed looking at all the planes. The staff were really friendly. We stopped in the cafe for a break whilst my partner sat in the Spitfire! Lovely family day out.

Thank you for your previous response regarding bus stops - You mention that if you take the Colindale Underground that there is a stop right across from your gates. Would you then, recommend that we stay at a hotel that is near the Colindale Underground station ? Sorry - we are totally unfamiliar with the London area, and are having trouble determining the best area to book a hotel Thank you
