The staff here are friendly enough, but the food and the beer are only ok. In a town full of places to eat and drink this one is just ok. It is popular enough with the locals which makes it quite a loud pub to...More

Excellent pub food and service. I've been a few times over the last 4 years and have never been disappointed. I usually used to have fish and chips or a lamb shank (which was beautiful) but they have taken the latter off the menu. I...More

Our only negative experience in London. Staff was surly at best. We were told they were simply too busy to accommodate us for lunch. Understandable sometimes during a lunch rush, but we even heard the bartender tell someone with an actual table the same thing....More

This was my first visit, and it was Easter Saturday and a spur of the moment visit, and it was just after 2pm. The initial welcome was warm and friendly. I was seated in the upstairs dining room, and was told the wait for food...More

How can any Sherlock Holmes fan resist? This is a mock Victorian style London pub filled with Sherlockiana. Be aware that just after the offices close it will be rammed with people having a post work pint.

I doubt it. When I visited everyone was having sit down meals only. Try fishworks if you want excellent takeaway fish and chips. £10 and not that far away.
