I wanted to see the picturesque London and see where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle created his masterpiece, Sherlock Holmes. It was as expected and I felt a little more connected to the character and the stories because of the visit.

I loved that when I came out of the tube station I was in Sherlock land. The house and Museum are right around the corner. The feel of the area is great. Fun shops too.

The journalists often ask me where I get an inspiration for my new detective stories. Actually, what I can advise you? To come to London and to visit Backstreet 221! Upon arrival to put the Sherlock Holmes hat to your head and to smoke his...More

Lots of big stores along this street, many you can find all over the world. So you can buy all sorts of things. Practical but not pretty.

I like Baker Street. It has various shops (from high to low end), restaurants, and even museums (most notably the Sherlock Holmes museum). It is also very close to Madame Tussauds, Regent's Park and the Lords cricket ground. It also has its own London Underground...More

Starting at Portman Square taking you all the way north to Regents Park, where you also find the (literally) interesting part of this street. The station is worth visiting.

This is street served by an underground station, Baker Street Station. It is famous for its fictional detective Sherlock Holmes who lived here. The street runs from Regents Park and ends at Oxford Street.

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the
southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of
Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it

Hi. If you want to just walk arounf, 30 mins are enough. If you want to visit the Sherlock Holmes museum, there is always a long line. You may wait 30-50 mins. You can spend 10-15 pounds on something to eat at the sandwich... More
