There's a world of enjoyment at Battersea Park Children's Zoo. From feeding the farm animals, spying on the meerkats in the secret lookout, children will have hours of fun. With monkeys, snakes, pigs, donkeys, ring tailed lemurs, parrots, rabbits, emu, chipmunks, coati, wallabies and chickens, plus a fun-packed adventure playground with a real tractor and fire engine, it's a great family day out.

A High price for this zoo with very less number of animals is what we found and got disappointed. Can have some eats in the café, and that's it .

I recently took my young grandson to this zoo. Unfortunately he was more interested in the tractor and fire engine due to the lack of petting animals (sheep and goats etc). Even the two pigs are from Australia and many of the other animals were...More

Feel yourself lucky if you can touch an animal behind the fences. No sheeps, no goats, no cows. Very small area. And the entry fee is overpriced.

Great zoo that is not too big or busy. Went with my 18 months old son. They got a big play area for children. Café is ok not the nicest.

Visited this zoo with my one year old nephew. He did enjoy looking at the animals but the play equipment is more aimed at older children. He could not get on a lot of things and it was a little dangerous with the older kids...More

This was my first visit to Battersea Park and zoo. Although the children did enjoy it I don't think there was a lot there for the price that was charged. There wasn't a lot of animals and many of the bits were empty. And the...More

This is definitely not a Zoo, totally let down paying £9.50 for adults and £6.50 for child. The only nice aspect is the multitude of activities for kids to get involved and have a nice time (which are in the wider Battersea park for free!)....More

It's £9.50 for an adult which is more than what children pay. Overall, the cost, range of animals and cleanliness is not worth it.

Great family day - the weather helped us have an exciting picnic before watching the feeding of the animals. Lots of interesting facts and also questions answered. I had printed fact sheets (from the website) about each animal and our 5 year old niece became...More

Yes the children's zoo is for young children the animals are small and not intimidating - except lovable donkeys and Shetland pony. There is a specific toddler area in the playground and a sandpit etc Thanks for the enquiry

The park's website gives travel tips. We tubed to Sloane Square and walked from there (about 15 mins). The TFL (or even Google Maps on a smartphone/ tablet) website will give you details of buses that pass to the east and... More

Would you recommend for a boy of 3, who is a little behind in his learning, and a girl of 11 who absolutely loves anything to do with Animals? Is there a selection of picnic areas? Is it worth travelling from North London ( Enfield) to South London ( Battersea)? All input and opinions gratefully received!

I'd say so, there's opportunities for safe interaction with some of the animals. There are play areas and benches and it was no trouble getting there on public transport from Archway. It's a small scale operation and what it... More
