Opened in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall is the world’s most famous stage. It is also one of London’s most iconic and visited tourist attractions.

Over the years, it has been the scene of over 150,000 performances; from Wagner to Sinatra, The Beatles to Beyonce, Muhammad Ali to Adele, and is home to the celebrated BBC Proms.

Whilst the venue is most famous for its shows by night, by day this treasured building is open for coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and guided tours of the building.

Tip for tour ticket holders: Enjoy a 10% discount on items in the Hall’s gift shop and Cafe Bar.

What a stunning venue! Mums birthday treat and what a treat it was. Having wanted to see Cirque du Soleil for years, i decided to take mum along for her birthday. VIP rouge tickets were just the job. Pre show reception with drinks and some super fine food in the gallery, GREAT seats, further refreshments during the interval in the... More

It was incredible! Tremendous amount of collection from all over the world! Better yet, no entrance fee. Actually London is really great in having available museums at no charge. And they're top notch quality, historical collections.

A really great location to see shows. Easy to get there. Very well managed. Plenty of places for drinks and snacks. Plenty of Toilets. Aplace you must experience at least once for a great show.

This building is legendary and BEAUTIFUL! The history behind is interesing, so be sure to look it up! This place is THE place for performers. The events here are always huge and usually amazing because of their big budgets. I suggest that even if you're not going to go watch something, go check the place out. It's also right across... Our family attended the Christmas Spectacular concert in December. With ages ranging from 11 to 80, the diversity offered was designed to please everyone. And it did with exceptional flair and entertainment value. From Classical music and Ballet to music from Harry Potter and even indoor fireworks, the entire family of 17 came away with lasting memories of a wonderful... More

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
