Streets of Shoreditch or nice and colorful. Lot;s of paintings, graffiti and street art make it a perfect for just wondering around and exploring new corners in London. If you combine this with second hand shops and small custom shops that makes a nice adventure. For sure worth to see that if you have enough of typical tourist attractions.

My wife and I have done the Shoreditch Street Art tour twice (once by ourselves and once with her parents). We had a different tour guide each time and both were fantastic! Each had different preferences in terms of which pieces they found compelling / what they thought made for "good" street art/graffiti. Both gave an insider's perspective and we... More

It was a gloomy london day and I was considering whether to stay in the warmth indoors instead of doing the tour. I am so glad I didn't! I had a really enjoyable and informative afternoon courtesy Cris. You often walk past the odd street art here and there, but to see all of them collectively in an afternoon gives... More

This walk and our Guide was a great experience: To get some deep insights in a culture that lives around us at all times. The tour gave us an opportunity to shift our focus when walking the streets of london, and see details that sometimes was meant four us as regular people and sometimes only as a statement towards an... Karim was our tour guide for a two hour tour and he was brilliant from start to finish. He spoke of everything from the history of street art and the price of paint (!) to the well known and little known artists working today, mostly in London but also internationally too. He navigated us around the hidden corners of Shoredtich... More

I went along on a personal recommendation, and altho perhaps I wouldn´t have chosen to go left to my own devices, because I didn´t know enough about it to be curious, I found it fascinating, in so many different ways: the diverse origins of the artists, the mainstream / outsider dichotomy of decorating our cities, and just "seeing" the pieces:... This was a great way to spend a day (or half day) in London. My son (20's) is techie and I am arty and we both really enjoyed the variety, the anecdotes, the politics. The guides know their stuff and the art is all interesting, some astounding and beautiful. The tour also made me feel more confident about walking around... More

Went with a group of friends and had a superb, informative, fun and engaging tour with Maria Domenica today. Its amazing how dynamic and interesting the Shoreditch street art scene is. Maria knows her stuff and was able to tell us all about it including very recent changes in the last few weeks. She was excellent and I highly recommend... More

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
