Once the West End's most salubrious cottage, supposedly the haunt of Wilde, Orton, Gielgud & Crisp, CellarDoor is now London's cult cabaret bar, secreted beneath the Aldwych in a space just big enough for cats (both feline and human) to swing. We're open until 1AM seven nights a week with free acts from 9PM each evening including drag queens, femme fatales, magicians, crooners, burlesque beauties & more.

Arrived at 8pm to a very empty bar, not wanting to disappoint my husband who had arranged this I thought we would probably leave after 1 drink, 5 hours later we left after having a fabulous very tongue in cheek evening, Bouncy’s Boudoir were hilarious....More

Another fantastic evening last night at the CellarDoor (known affectionately amongst us the Lav) though I do appear to have the tiniest headache this morning. Perhaps it was a wayward piece of popcorn? Who will ever know. Love this place; long may it continue.

Went here for afternoon tea and tease and were really disappointed. The musicians although talented were disorganised and quite cringey. The afternoon tea was from M&S and the fizz we were issued with was horrid. The only fantastic part of it was the very beautiful...More

We visit Cellardoor on a Sunday evening. It looks great just like stairs to a small tube station and the live act was Pete Saunders. The place was very quiet but intimate, seating room is only for about 30 people and standing is about 20....More

I was in London for a conference. A friend and I were walking home from dinner and saw this strange shape extending out of the sidewalk. There was a small sign that read "Cellar Door" and there was a picture of someone playing the piano....More
