At 400 years, the oldest pub in Covent Garden has hardly changed over the years and is proud of its heritage. A truely traditional English pub.

Read about the history before you visit, it makes the visit more enjoyable. We visited on a hot day and there was water available on the bar, which was really cold and free. The welcome, as well as the weather, was warm and the beer...More

A delightful place to have dinner after a show. I came on Thursday evening with my family. There were several dozen 20-somethings enjoying a pint with friends outside yet it was easy enough to get a table on the 2nd floor inside. It all added...More

Fantastic old pub with lots of character. Good choice of ales , decent service at the bar. The gents is at street level , which was a nice change for the area. A great venue to look around in theatre land

We stopped here for quick pint and thought the place was very unique. Not very big but a great selection of beers and a very authentic atmosphere.

Good range of beer and ale, some quaffable. House wine was acceptable. This small, old Covent Garden pub offered a lively atmosphere within, warmly lit tucked away beyond the bustling streets. Staff were helpful in the whole, until kick out time when their darker side...More

Old pub off the beaten path of busy Covent Garden - thankfully it was sunny outside. Great local ales. Visit every time we travel to London.

A great find. A pint of beer each and bangers and mash and fish and chips. Nice sausages and the fish was lovely and fresh. Helpful staff. Great old heritage listed pub. A must
