The London Dungeon, one of the UK’s most iconic attractions, has reinvented itself now as a bigger, bolder and better attraction in the vast underground vaults of County Hall on the South Bank, next to the EDF Energy London Eye. The all new multi-million pound attraction will bring 1000 years of authentic London history to life with a unique mix of talented live actors performing in scarily funny shows, stunning special effects, edge of your seat surprises and two exciting thrill rides. Guests will embark on a journey through a dramatic London landscape going back ten centuries. They will be guided through ghastly plague-ridden streets, witness Guy Fawkes’ dramatic plot to blow up Parliament, travel back to Jack the Ripper’s bleak Whitechapel and walk beneath London’s foreboding medieval gates. There are new shows and rides which are more dramatic and surprising than ever, new funnier scripts, more theatrical costumes and styling and more talented actors to play even more colourful villains and blaggards.

Disappointed there is no discounts for students or emergency services. However this is an amazing activity. It costs £30 per adult. The actors and actresses are phenomenal...if you are looking for an informative/educational trip I would avoid and suggest the free museum. Prepare to jump and laugh! The rides incorporated are fun! Don't be put off if you have disabilities,... More

Went to the old site in Tooley Street some years back and remembered enjoying the experience. Sadly, the new site didn't live up to expectations. The whole thing was terribly claustrophobic; being led as a tightly-packed group round a maze of rooms with actors doing their various bits. Rides were awful. Very uncomfortable and actually rather horrible experience. No historical... More

A great afternoon out. Prebook to avoid queues. Many photo opportunities and the knowledge appeals to all ages. The actors interact with the group and there are rides to go on in the dungeons. The finale is a drop ride which can be opted out of. Would go again. The souvenir book is full of fun facts also and is... More

My partner and I attended the London Dungeons and it was a fantastic experience! The entire visit all the cast stays in character, and puts on a great show.

Great attraction, not far from the London Eye and Shrek's Adventure ( more interesting to buy a combined ticket ). Great actors and settings, funny moments and a funny way to learn more about London's history. Need to understand English quite well, no translation or audio-guides : we're French,it was OK for me because I'm an English teacher, but a... More

Well worth a visit if you have a combi ticket, otherwise it is rather expensive. It was a good way of learning some history. Not as scary as I thought it would be ( thank goodness!) Had to wait in a "holding corridor" for quite a while, until they had enough people to continue the tour.

very good attraction but would not pay full price as that would not be a cheap attraction to go to they have much improved this attraction from when it was in its old site and is well worth a visit if you can get a 2 /4/ 1 offer but full price is overpriced

A nice trip along the old London histories. Warning to those who don't speak English well, just skip this. I speak English well but I only understand like 70% of the contents because of the fast English accents. Anyway, it's not really that frightening though..

Had so much fun here on Saturday with my friends, we came at the right time and had previously booked tickets so we didn't have long to wait. It was very interesting learning the history of it all.

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
