The London Dungeon, one of the UK’s most iconic attractions, has reinvented itself now as a bigger, bolder and better attraction in the vast underground vaults of County Hall on the South Bank, next to the EDF Energy London Eye. The all new multi-million pound attraction will bring 1000 years of authentic London history to life with a unique mix of talented live actors performing in scarily funny shows, stunning special effects, edge of your seat surprises and two exciting thrill rides. Guests will embark on a journey through a dramatic London landscape going back ten centuries. They will be guided through ghastly plague-ridden streets, witness Guy Fawkes’ dramatic plot to blow up Parliament, travel back to Jack the Ripper’s bleak Whitechapel and walk beneath London’s foreboding medieval gates. There are new shows and rides which are more dramatic and surprising than ever, new funnier scripts, more theatrical costumes and styling and more talented actors to play even more colourful villains and blaggards.

Well performed by the actors and engaging and interactive due to the methods of engagement with the audience attending. Plus it informs people of some of the history of London's past thus good for children too.

We have been twice, enjoyed pretty much and good price for the whole set up, but it is not very interesting for adults, not as scary as you expected.

Not for the faint hearted. Book in advance, it gets very busy. We love the dungeons. It often has a change in rooms so can be different every time. The actors are fab.

I recommend booking this online as you get to beat the ques of paying on the day - and I think you save money too, bonus! The experience itself was great, the rides were fab if not a tad scared (I'll admit I closed my eyes 🙊🙋🏻) the actors were fantastic and really got into character - lots of humour... More

Definitely a place to book online before you go. We went on a really busy day over the Easter holidays. Had to wait about 40 minutes before the tour started properly. I really enjoyed the stories; well delivered by a team of very enthusiastic and committed team of actors. The sets were fab; great attention to detail. It was fun... More

As a returning visitor from around 12 years ago (I didn't know it had relocated), I went with memories of this attraction being well above average. I booked online for the saving and chance to select an allocated entrance time. By chance I chose the correct queue (it's not made very clear) being the show entrance rather than box office... More

We had a really poor experience during our visit on Saturday and as a result requested to be taken out of the tour just after the boat ride. Despite carefully looking at your website, there was nowhere any indication on the suitability of the attraction for children. I was accompanied by my nephew 8, and father who has walking difficulties.... More

The dungeon was very realistic. You would want to be eleven and older. I thought their acting was very good and the big drop at the end was great fun

This was our first visit to London, and we saw so many amazing and interesting things, but this attraction came up short. My husband and I, and our three teenage kids all rated this as okay, and something we would not do again, and would not recommend to friends visiting London. My teenagers thought it was cheesy, while they also... More

Booked this online as it was much cheaper than paying on the day! Booked a 10-10:15am slot, we got in straight away as we already had our tickets and it started on 10:15. Very well organised into different sections, the actors were good and some parts was interesting. I didn't like that some actors were a bit rude (eg saying... More

Staying in Southbank

Neighbourhood Profile
Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
