Food was O.K but...

The food was O.K however they really need new staff working there: Some barely speak English, others are far from helpful or polite. Not impressed...

We went there on November and the place was so disorganized and messy. The staff was rude and impolite and a funny weirdo was playing on a Big Piano that it's simply a useless and simple piece of plastic playing MIDI musical notes. The funny thing is that the guy promoting the Big Piano was charging 10000 pounds to buy... More

Second time I have ordered items online. First time I placed an order on 27/11/16 in plenty of time for a Christmas gift. The item was never delivered. I contacted customer services who stated that they would contact the supplier. I had no follow up and contacted them again. I never received an explanation and never received the item. I... More

I was shocked to see low reviews on online shopping. Perhaps it has really improved since the reviews were completed. It was easy to find items and sale items were also easy to find and it all arrived when I was expecting it to which was before Xmas. Items did not all come in one delivery. I am assuming because... Having purchase several items on line and having to call to get some refunded and also to check the delivery status of my orders, I called Debenhams Customer service, They are totally useless, they could not find my orders, they could not give me any details, they told me I had to go to back to my local store, despite... My daughter and I were shopping in Oxford Street. We went to Debenhams 5th floor restaurant. We opted for the carvery dinner. The chef cutting the meat in the carvery was pleasant, but the lady serving the veg was off hand, appeared to not really want to be there. My daughter had to ask for the roast potatoes and the... Looking for breakfast before Xmas shopping. Self-service but confusing offerings. Settled for basic English breakfast which was inedible - even the toast was bad. I will never set foot in that cafe again.

I was in Debenhams Lakeside during the recent sale when all the rails are crammed together. I stepped back from one and stepped onto cardboard packaging that had been left on the floor (trip hazard) with my right foot and it slid forward along with the cardboard and I was thrown backwards, landing heavily on a large piece of metal... Don't rely on Debenhams sending your items and when you contact customer services they will just give you the runaround. Ask their first name and they are fine giving you that because there are so many staff you will never get the same person dealing with your query but loads of different people that reall don't give a ..... They... More

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
