Me and my mates joined the Free Tour end of April, which was advertised at the Generator Hostel. We were very pleased with our tour guide Dale who did an awesome job entertaining the group with several stories and lots of information. Then we spontaneously joined the paid "East End Tour" which was totally worth it as well. We saw... More

My gf and I are from Chicago, and Collin was awesome!! He had a nice mix of interesting facts, and he was good at filtering what is interesting to tourists, what is relevant, and what we should focus on.

First of all; it wasn't necessarily bad. It's just that we expected to get to know new people, go to nice places and have some great drinks. However that didn't happen at all. Some of the staff members were already drunk before we even started. Out of the 5 bars that we went to, 3 were crappy. The drinks were... More

I did the free walking tour and Camden walking tour, both were great and super educational. Dale the guide was awesome, really knew his stuff, and made sure to show us the best of everything like a local, not a tourist.

This tour started at Liverpool Street Station and followed the streets of the London's East End guided by Dale. It was one of the best walking tours we have done. Dale outlined the history of all the areas we went through and showing and explaining many aspects of Street Art. A great tour - and what a superb way to... More

This was a two hour tour of some of the exhibits in the museum which were key to human development. It was fascinating and packed with interest. The guide Colin was interesting, knowlegable and fun. The content was varied and interesting and delivered in a very enjoyable way. Highly recommended, one of the highlights of our visit to our favourite... More

Dale took us round a small part of East London. He was very knowledgeable and had lots of fun stories and facts. He showed us loads of graffity and told about it with such great enthousiasm that I think I have found a new hobby. Thanks Dale!

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
