Spoiler alert. They serve some off the best lamb chops I have ever had, boy do they do it well! Service is friendly and helpful, in terms of the venue "shabby shic" don't be expecting the Ritz... its an old school boozer really but cosy, try and get a table in the back room. Do take advantage of the side... More

We came here with groupon deal for chop&chip. The pub is a local spot and has a theatre too- we didn't see anything this time but would return for this. Layout of pub is bit odd, lots of space but not many tables. We did manage to get the last table and had the brisket burgers with chunky chips, sweet... More

Wandered in last weekend and we had a great time in this little hidden gem just off the high street. Ambiance was brilliant with chatty and friendly staff and an awesome reggae band. There was a BBQ menu with jack fruit and halloumi for the veggies. There's also a small fringe theatre upstairs with an interesting programme which I will... More

This venue does both pub and theatre very well. It has a lovely selection of beers and ciders at a reasonable price with a nice choice of seating. On some evenings they have a live band which adds a wonderful charm to this venue. The theatre is a small and intimate standard pub theatre venue and works wonderfully for the... More

This out of the way pub does lovely grub, not a great variety on the menu, but what it does, it does well. Great tasting pulled Beef Brisket in a bun with sweet potato fries and slaw. Not into beef? Pulled Pork BBQ in a bun, if you're really hungry go for both, I did! Friendly staff, service with a... More

Chop&Chip menu is hosted at the Bread and Roses, which is a shabby chic pub with annexed theatre and (very little) stage for live music. As mentioned, it looks like a local pub so atmosphere is very informal but serving American dishes with quality meat sourced from Smithfield market is a great addition. I had a moo bun (pulled brisket)... More

Came here to see a play last week and absolutely loved it. It's quite small from the outside but spacious and cosy inside, we had a few drinks in the bar area downstairs before going up to the theatre. I hope to see more plays here in the future.

Saw a play in early December 2016. Nice room. Great actors. The pub has a coy atmosphere. Definitely recommendable to visitors of London who see Westminster, Buckingham and stuff but never go to places like Clapham. Love that there s so much alternative theatre in Londontown.

Went to the pub with friends to see a play. Ordered 3 meals. Was told that they had no deliveries that day so no beef chop. Was given the lamb instead. Food came literally 10 mins before the theatre started... pub was not busy with diners. Only one portion of chips arrived no two. I had asked for my lamb... More

I like it. We went there to the theatre but we were too early so we had a drink at the pub. Nice place, great staff, theatre was lovely. We saw "CSI" and it was brilliant. Will come back for sure
