You pay 6 pounds to get on the replica ship and learn a bit about the history of Golden Hinde II and its legendary captain Sir Francis Drake. Good entertainment for 15-20 minutes, or even longer if you have children with you. Going inside the...More

A beautiful ship open to public. Unfortunately we found it was already closed, on our way in a hurry to Tate Modern.

Coming from California, near Nova Albion where Drake made England's first claim to what later became the U.S., I was incredibly excited to visit this site. I was okay with the price understanding that a ship like this and the berth are not inexpensive. Delayed...More

This is a replica of the Golden Hinde, the famous ship sailed by Sir Frances Drake during Elizabethan times. It looks good but costs £6 to go on board. Since it's tiny, that's an awful lot of money. Just take a photo outside it‼️

Called at the Golden Hinde on a walk along the Jubliee Walk. It is a striking piece of history and really makes you appreciate the world we have long since left behind. Striking and well worth a stop off.

Fantastic experience with some lovely people. Acting and teaching the cubs all about Tudor times. Bring a good sleeping bag, although it was May and quite warm, it became cold at night even though the staff had supplied extra blankets. Food simple but very tasty...More

Even before the arrival of the instantly iconic Shard,
the riverside scene in Southwark had moved well beyond
any up-and-coming phase of development. For quite some

browsing the boutiques of Bermondsey High Street,
foraging through the bounteous stalls at centuries old
foodie haven Borough Market, and flocking to the banks
of the Thames to enjoy some of Britain's biggest
