This is London's most stunning bridge across the River Thames linking Chelsea to Battersea. It was not the sturdiest of bridges thus it's nickname, The Trembling Lady and there is a sign at one end of the bridge telling soldiers to break step when marching...More

This is Londons most romantic bridge at night, it's incredibly attractive. Walk along the riverbank, through Battersea park and stop for a pint at the Prince Albert.

This is a nice old bridge by Chelsea Embankment . It has a sign asking soldiers to break step when crossing presumable to stop the bridge from shaking.

This road bridge connects Chelsea and Battersea. Opened in 1873, it is a wonderfully ornate Victorian structure, the like of which you don't often see these days. Note the notice to troops on the gateposts at either end of the bridge. For the best view...More

Bridges are, among many other things, my passion. And this one is really great sight. It was designed in 1873 as a modified cable-stayed bridge, connecting Chelsea and Battersea. In 1973 two concrete piers were constructed and the resulting structure, mixing three different styles, is...More
