The sheer opulence made me feel guilty, however still a fantastic place to visit. Huge emphasis on Princess Diana just now. Not what I wanted to see but great if you were a fan. Highly recommend. Amazing gardens.

We just walked through the gardens and grounds. We did not tour the palace itself. I wish we would have taken the time to see the palace though. It was such a lovely place. The garden and lake areas were amazing.

It's really a tourist must-see, there are the king and queen's chambers as well as a wing dedicated to Queen Victoria and also a beautiful collection of Diana's dresses. The beautiful surrounding gardens and Hyde Park make it perfect for a sunny day.

I loved the Princess Diana dress display but the rooms in the Palace were not much to see. Especially when comparing them to the palaces I have seen in Munich Germany with the beautiful paintings, furniture, tapestries, and rooms. Gardens were nice. Glad I did...More

I'm not sure there is a cafe with inside and outside seating but you could have your picnic before going into the palace there are lots of park benches in the park right before you enter
