This is a cool and very pleasant place to visit, if you would like to experience a unique Brixton vibe. My impression is and I could be wrong, but this is where many locals shop and eat here. We ate at two small restaurants and the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable, considering this is London.
If I know anyone who is visiting Brixton I will definitely recommend a trip to Brixton Village.

Visited on an overcast Monday and enjoyed a less
crowded stroll through the markets. Still a real cool vibe in this place and the sights and sounds are
truly unique to Brixton. Lots of interesting street food to consider and the reggae vibe resonates even on a quiet day. No better place to people watch and chill out!

Popped up here for a quick lunch during heatwave week. It was not as hot as Pop Brixton at noon as it is indoor. Colourful charming place but pretty strong smell of fresh fishes tho.

I came here for the first time yesterday and was really impressed with the area. There is such a diverse range of food places, that one could never go hungry.

It’s a fantastic part of London where there is food from all over the world in one place, as well as shops selling cosmetics, clothing and jewellery.

Most places had tables outside and there was not a possibility to eat inside, so I’m not sure if that was the norm or due to Covid.

A great place to go for a bit of food and plenty of food alcohol. We visited the Wine Parlour due to a voucher we already had. Great service, expertise in all the wine, friendly, fantastic platter of cheese and hams. Stop for a quick drink or stay much longer. I’m guessing around 2 dozen places to eat and drink under a roof which also has a mix of food shops and various bric o brac. Cool, easy going and imagine gets very busy at peak times

Excellent place to have food and drinks even if it is raining as it is a indoors market.
The restaurant me a and friend tried two weeks ago was Okan (japanese food).

From the menu we chose: Yaki Mix and Hot Sake.

Staff was amazing .. they even took our order minutes before closing the kitchen.
Food was fresh and tasty.

For the people that still think Brixton has nothing to offer.... think twice and enjoy Brixton Village among other attractions.

Price: affordable for the quality of the food

We visited the Brixton area and really enjoyed our visit. This urban area of London has a lot of culture with restaurants, shops and murals. Brixton Village is filled with privately owned shops and restaurants (similar to an upscale farmer's market in the US). We found an African cloth store that was great! I bought handbags for my family.

My daughter and I (she's 22) just adored the Brixton neighborhood and more specifically, Brixton Village. It is eclectic, alive, diverse and interesting. Great bars, restaurants and live music. Great street art too. Near the tube and great Airbnb's close by. We would go again.
