Although, we got a discount, it still cost almost $15.00 for 2 for a short ride along the river. We walked back and enjoyed it just as much. I would suggest, walk, don't ride.

On previous visits to London we have walked for miles and used the tube to visit the places we wanted to see. Whilst we still did both on this trip, we also decided to try the river boat from Westminster to Greenwich and see some of the sites close to the river on the way. The worst part of the... More

We decided to travel to Hampton Court by river but did not realise that the journey would take quite as long as it did (3 hours 20 minutes). The journey itself was quite interesting but the weather was cold and so we travelled for the most part inside the cabin, which on the boat we were on gave a rather... More

Bought our tickets on-line and the boat left punctually. Good commentary and the landmarks were pointed out in time for us to get our camera ready and take photos - enjoyed the fact that you could get off at Greenwich and see the Cutty Sark and the village and the observatory. Took another boat down to the Thames Barrier which... More

First thing that was a mess was getting the tickets. The lady behind the glass could not hear us and mixed up the places to go . The que was bad when we finally got the tickets and went to line up for the boat my kids were pushed by rude people cutting the line as we're no barriers. We... More

We were told to tap our Oyster card and as we were traveling with 5 Persons, one being age 3, we took a minute, and in that minute they lifted the gangplank and took off, leaving us wait for 20 minutes in the rainy cold. This was on 8Nov2016 at 1515 in the afternoon. We were told this happens rather... More

on the thames there are ferry services that take you up or down the river either on sight seeing or just to get quick and easy to were you wish to go. We traveled by ferry from Greenwich to the Tower of London, using our oyster card. The ferry is very fast and serves drinks and food for a price.... More

Really enjoyed cruising the Thames. Lots of sights to take in on the way. Smashing commentary from a lovely lad on the cruise. He was very current, funny and informative. He made the trip. Cruising gives you another perspective of the city. We did loads of walking and public transport. This isn't really an alternative to those but a lovely... More

We wanted to visit Greenwich and decided to choose water as a means of transport. It was early on Sunday morning at Westminster Pier and not too busy, which was great. Alas a fog had come down so visibility further down the Thames closer to Greenwich was limited, but that kind of enhanced the trip. As it was hop-on hop-off,... More

My friend and I took one of these tours along the Thames. All the sales people try to sell you tickets down by the river. Buy your ticket on line or at your hotel to make your life easier and not get oversold. We were told the "hop on hop off" style of river cruise was a total of 45... More
