It's a statue of Sherlock Holmes right outside the Underground entrance at Baker St. Easy to find, great stop off place for Sherlock fans.

A tall bronze statue to a literary creation. Immediately adjacent to the entry of both Baker Street Station and The Metropolitan Bar.

It’s only a statue of Sherlock very very close to Baker Street 221b where his “home” was. Nothing special

It is what it is - a statue of a fictional character. If you like the character- like I do - get a picture if you pass by, but don't go out of your way to see it.

Always nice for a photo opp, but a great place to meet up with people as well, as it’s well known.
If you’ve got some spare time and are in the area it’s a nice little spot to visit.

The Sherlock Holmes statue that guards Baker St is rather impressive and far taller than I expected, a nice idea for Londons most famous detective

For those of you who don't know Sherlock Holmes was a fictional character created by Arthur Conan-Doyle who lived at 221b Baker Street in London. he was involved in many different adventures with his companion Doctor Watson.

As there were many stories written about Sherlock Holmes his notoriety grew and he his character became synonymous with Baker Street.

As a result there is a statue of him just outside Baker Street Tube station wearing his deerstalker hat and with his pipe in hand.

If you are a fan of the history of Sherlock Holmes and are in the area you may want to check it out.
