The area

Neighbourhood: City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.

A hidden gem that now everyone knows about.
Thanks to this place being everyone on social media, there was a queue to get up here. However, it's free. The queue wasn't very long and once we got up there it was stunning, despite the weather. I am glad we missed out on tickets for the Sky Garden. I feel from seeing pictures of it online, here is better. None of the Garden at 120 is enclosed but you get fantastic views from wherever you are standing. A great little find that you won't regret checking out.

Excellent !!! Airport security then lift up.. little queue.. lovely views and it wasn't packed !!! Coffee shop on the floor below, plenty of space to chill.and enjoy the views. Would definitely recommend. Avoid the queues and booking of the sky garden down the road.

A rare free experience that was great
What a great place to visit. No queue, no advance bookings required. Simply turn up, go up to the 15th floor and enjoy views of London. You could see a lot more than I was expecting. The actual gardens are lovely too.

    Beautiful views
What a little gem! We visited London and wanted to book the Sky Garden, but it was closed. So found out about this place and so happy we did! It’s free and you can enjoy some wonderful views! We were lucky enough to visit while wisteria was blooming - what a treat!

    Worth a visit
This is a free visit and worth it for the views. We were able to see large parts of London. Unfortunately it started to rain whilst we were there but it was quite strange being able to see the bank of rain moving across London towards us. There was a queue to get in but took no more than 10 minutes.

    Great for walk up entrance
Lovely place to visit for great skyline city views. Couldn’t get tickets for sky garden a bit further down the street but you can walk up on the day here. Queue wasn’t too bad for a weekend either

    Stunning Views of London
TikTok recommended this place and it lives up to expectations. Visit when the rooftop opens to avoid waiting too long but don’t be disheartened by a long queue as this moves very quickly. After rigorous airport style security checks, you take a lift right up to the rooftop, staff are helpful with directions the entire way. The views are really nice and some of my favourite in London as you can see most of the city around the 360 views. There are areas to sit and many plants which makes the area very pleasant to relax away from the chaos of the city.

    Hidden Gem!
Having stumbled upon this garden we decided to visit and so glad we did. The garden is lovely and offers wonderful 360 views of London. Having visited the sky garden the previous day I can honestly say I preferred this one. Well worth a visit!

    Nice views and well-maintained grounds
Visited on a weekday during November 2023. No advance booking required. Breezed through security and onto the 15th floor, with practically no queues and no fuss. The grounds are well-maintained with good views over London. Although slightly obscured by taller buildings, the views are 360 degrees in an open air environment. Far less crowded in comparison to the nearby Sky Garden (which also requires advance booking). Would recommend.

The Garden at 120
I strongly recommend visiting this wonderful place, because it’s amazing and really interesting. I’m a teacher and I took my students to the roof garden, where you can have a jaw dropping view and where you can have a lesson and spot the most important sites of London. Staff is not only friendly, but also very kind and they gave us a lot of information about the place. The visit is free, but you need to book in advance. It’s worth visiting. The students really appreciated that, they were overwhelmed.

Wow what a brilliant experience. First, the man who operates the lift deserves a special mention. His enthusiasm was incredible as he wished us a good trip- a group of us (complete strangers) were talking about him as the lift went up. When we returned back down he was equally lovely.

The views from the top are really something- especially in my view, of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

It is beautifully maintained, there are lovely places to sit, free toilets, in short it is a wonderful addition to London.

Gorgeous roof-top garden with spectacular views of iconic city skyscrapers and the Thames. No charge to enter (unlike nearby Sky Garden), although you may have to queue for 20 minutes - however, it is worth it!
NOTE: It is NOT closed as this listing suggests.

Such GREAT views, beautifully tended gardens. Great alternative to Sky Garden, which is inside, perhaps not really a "garden", and can get really crowded. Free to go up, just go through the airport-style security screening. Great photo opportunities and a wonderful way to take in the City of London from above. There is a restaurant (looked dark, chose not to enter but likely reservations required), a separate small cafe, and there are toilets available. Would go again.

As the Sky Garden as fully booked and the afternoon weather was looking promising, we decided to try this open air viewing platform. So glad we did. We waited for about 5 minutes in a queue before being called through an airport style security check. The guards, while very professional, were all friendly. We then entered a lift to the 15th floor and emerged onto the beautiful glass walled terrace. As well as clear views of The Gherkin, Shard and Walkie Talkie, you could also see the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and St Paul's Cathedral. The terrace itself is a beautiful, calm oasis and at the time of our visit, was dripping with scented white and lilac wisteria. I just can't believe it's free to visit in this expensive city - it's a must see.

The roof garden offers good views across the city in all directions. We enjoyed walking around a trying to spot the various landmarks across the city. This a lovely quite place in a busy city to escape for a while. It is also free to go up to the roof top which is an added bonus!

Spent a few days in London and came here to see the London skyline and the views were amazing as the sun was setting. Open top rooftop where you can see iconic buildings like the Shard, Tower Bridge, Walkie Talkie and The Gherkin to name a few. There was initially a queue and security check which I thought would take time but surprisingly everything was done quick and efficiently.

This roof garden is free and easily accessible as booking isn't required. The garden itself is outdoors and very pretty. The views are very good although not as impressive as at the nearby Skygarden. There are toilets and a basic cafe on the floor below. You can bring your own food.

Was recommended to swing by Garden at 120 from a few friends and I’m glad I did. One of the best things about it is that it’s free to the public. It’s a short walk from the London Tower/Tower Bridge. The views from the rooftop garden were very nice. It’s a cute city rooftop garden with a small pond. It’a a nice place to stop for a quick rest while taking in the London skyline.
