The recipes must be consistent globally. Brie on onion relish toast and croissant and coffee pulled from a La Marzocco of course. This is the McDonalds of Patisserie in the sense of consistency globally.

In my experience of several Paul branches, these Patisseries are the nearest you can get in the UK to experiencing true French cakes and pastries, freshly baked. None of the soggy, stodgy concoctions so typical of Railway Waiting Rooms of the past, but a delightful selection of light, tasty confectionery including luxurious fruit tarts - whole or sliced. Their hot... More

Absolutely wonderful. A real French taste. The bread in the baguette is exactly as it is in a french patisserie. Clearly as freshly and purely baked as they claim

My boyfriend who's half English half French wanted me to try out some near authentic French patisseries near us. So He looked it up and Paul in Tower of London came up, we went there for brunch on Sunday and enjoy every thing we had from there we even bought some to take away. All the food appeared fresh and... The service is terrible - ignored by staff and then rude service. Food and drinks awful & toilets unclean

Visited the one by Covent Garden a few of my friends went for breakfast, we had booked a table and on arrival it wasn't ready, the service wasn't great even though it wasn't that busy, my latte arrived cold but I couldn't attract a waitress to change it so just drank it, my food arrived cold and again had the... Called for breakfast at Paul Baker St London having enjoyed many a tasty breakfast or afternoon tea in various Paul locations in Paris. Flaky croissants made with French butter and flour do not disappoint across on this side of the Channel either. Great coffee and cakes too.... and wonderful to buy Brioche and chocolates too! The best!

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
