Though I really enjoyed Hank Wangford’s Sunday gig, the meal beforehand was very disappointing. I chose fish and chips. The chips were good but the fish was the worst I have ever had. It was supposedly haddock which is my favourite fish but there was hardly any fish & it was grey so all I could taste was the batter. The mushy peas was a tiny portion. £17.60 for such a poor meal is a complete rip off and I am put off eating there again. It really spoiled my visit.

My partner and I stumbled across the Half Moon (after not being there for many years). The staff were friendly and the wine was nice. However, we ordered some light snacks and the chips felt frozen as well as the chicken tenders. Of which, described as a small plate consisted of around three tenders which was quite disappointing. Hope the Half Moon can improve its food slightly in the future.

The Half Moon is a great venue I love enjoyed seeing a number of good bands there. Only a couple of minor niggles which seem to be pretty regular. For some reason they seem to run out of some beers, so you can’t always order your favourites. Also, whilst the food we had was well enough cooked, it didn’t seem particularly good value for the price.

The venue itself is not a bad place. For the size of the venue I feel it needed more staff. The biggest problem for me though is when letting the staff know that both men’s toilets had no toilet paper and, then to return two hours later after the gig to find that they still hadn’t put any in was no good.

Very disappointing food. The steak and the ribs were inedible and had to be sent back. Jade W was very helpful and gave us credit for the two terrible main courses. The food used to be a lot better. The quality has really gone down and everything is extremely expensive. We also had to wait over an hour for the main courses to arrive so there must be a staffing problem in the kitchen. We have been coming here for years but will eat elsewhere in future. Such a shame.

Dinner here was unfortunately disappointing. Two burgers ordered and served cold, with none of the garnishes (onions, cheese) that was stated on the menu. Instead, one of the burgers was burden (picture attached - this is supposed to the buttermilk chicken). Expensive meal for a terrible quality dinner. Do not recommend.
