Our tour guide Paul took us on an emotional roller coaster throughout this experience. He is a fountain of information and enthused passion for the tragic circumstances in which the rippers victims died. We were given all the facts mixed with local folklore about the events around Whitechapel. It was a very moving experience as the victims were all very... More

My sister has wanted to do the Jack Ripper tour for many years and I finally got round to booking it. At £10.00 per person it's definitely value for money. I didn't know a lot of the details about Jack the Ripper before the tour but our tour guide John was very friendly, informative and knowledgeable. Even though there were... More

I went with my husband and daughter on the Jack the Ripper Tour. It lasted two hours and was very informative. My only criticism is that there were nearly 40 members of our group - too many, making it a little hard to fully engage with the leader. A fun night out, though, and I would recommend it.

This tour is great value for money and a must do. It was two hours very well spent. Our tour guide, Lindsey has been studying and researching Jack the Ripper for almost 30 years and it shows. Her knowledge and passion is unquestionable and she has been doing these tours for 16 years, so we really got lucky. She is... More

Have been on previous Ripper tours and this was by the far the best our guide was engaging and informative unlike other tours this was not just about The Ripper and his victims but an insight into living in Victoria London

We spent last night on the Jack the Ripper walk with Angie. What a great couple of hours spent hearing about the gruesome demise of those poor unfortunates. Angie was an enthusiastic guide who tried her hardest to make the events come to life. She never once faltered. I would definitely recommend it.

Went on tour with Philip with my OH as a last minute idea. You should really book beforehand to ensure your place but we took a punt and luckily got on the tour. Philip was a great tour guide. He was articulate, highly knowledgeable and v witty, despite him obviously not being v well. We started in a small alleyway... More

Staying in Whitechapel

Neighbourhood Profile
Whitechapel
Whether you're here for its dynamic street life, world class galleries or famed curry houses, you're bound to be wowed by the uniquely cosmopolitan flavor of Whitechapel. Long gone are the days when Jack the Ripper stalked its streets. And despite his mysterious legacy bringing throngs of curiosity driven tour groups to its back alleys and otherwise serene garden squares, these days you're more likely to catch a cutting edge fashionista scurrying through its age old lanes than criminals of any sort.
