What an awesome day. We met up with Jenny (our guide) at the Bowie Memorial in Brixton. She was passionate about her job as well as knowledgeable and enthusiastic about her subject - David Bowie. With likeminded individuals it was about 2 hours indulging in Bowie memories. Went with my friend who I first saw Bowie with many years ago. A great experience and some new interesting facts learned 🎵

A necessary pilgrimage for all music fans, especially those of us fond of the ‘80’s. Visited on a Monday when now one was around…just me and my memories.

A must see for Bowie fans. Lovely mural. I went on his birthday in the morning. Expected flowers to be left there, perhaps that happened later. Great Brixton vibe

David Bowie was a British musician who was originally from Brixton. There is a memorial for him which is really easy to find. If you are coming to Brixton via the Tube then leave the Tube station and cross Brixton High Street. Walk a few metres down the road and the mural is to your left.
It has been covered over with a plastic panel but it is lovely to read all the messages people have put up about the Thin White Duke.
When I visited there were flowers there and people have put up messages, stickers and photos.
If you are a fan I would recommend a visit.

Easy to find.. smaller than I thought.. I took photos but it hasn’t changed since everyone else put their photos up.. 😀 worth a view if you are in the area!!

We visited this memorial which is just off Brixton Road and close to the station. It is a good mural but was a little underwhelmed by it to be honest. A good price of artwork though and worth checking g out when in the area. Unless you are a Bowie fan I would not suggest making a special trip.

We took the short trip to Brixton to see the Mural that everyone was talking about...yes David Bowie, aka, Ziggy Stardust. It was very easy to find, literally right across the street from The Tube exit/entrance. The only thing that detracted from going to see the mural, was the fact that the Tube was station was closed to entering riders, so we had to take the bus back to Stockwell to catch the Tube back to where we were going. All in all, definitely a must see if you’re a Ziggy Stardust fan!!

A wonderful portrait of a gentleman whom was born locally. Constantly busy and refreshed with messages and flowers.

This is must for Bowie fans and music fans. I'm not a fan but like some of his music. I Would leave a fower near it.

Bowie fans must visit...been twice on his birthday & moved to tears on both occasions..I grew up listening to this man & I miss him so much...I've visited Berlin & I'm going back soon..I go to the bowie convention every year to meet & listen to bowie like people ( top bands ) this Brixton thing is something I have to do now & I travel from wolverhampton..it's like I'm letting him down if I don't go....call me ott if you want but Mr bowie was & still is a genius...love on ya..db lives on.xx
