Football is one of the city's greatest passions. There are two big clubs in the city, but it's those playing in red who enjoy most of the attention. Liverpool FC opens its Anfield Stadium to visitors during the day when no games are scheduled. Led by enthusiastic guides, the museum and stadium tour gives sports fans behind-the-scenes access to one of the best-known soccer clubs in the world.

You want history? Go on the tour or go the game or both. Nowhere on earth gives the spinetingling sensation that Anfield does. LFC is unique. YNWA

We stopped here on our way to Lake District. I have learnt a fair bit about Liverpool team despite not being a football fan. We did the Manchester United tour at Old Trafford.

Magical place with amazing atmosphere. Liverpool fans are unbeatable. Even for people who are not football fans... or not necessary Liverpool fans. Great experience.

There's a huge car park just by the side, you'd be able to see it!
