- 615billy456Manchester, United Kingdom25 contributionsFeeling the love of strawberry FieldsA great visit, we come to the area a lot and always said we would come here. Met at the door by an elderly gentleman who spoke fondly and very well about the history and the site including the cafe, which didn't disappoint! Beautiful location and tranquil gardens!Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 October 2023
- BellaLondon, United Kingdom3 contributionsWhat a magical place! What a lovely place to visit. It was so uplifting and touching to read Lennon's words scattered throughout the well kept gardens. We left feeling peaceful & happy to have visited such a special place. The gift shop was full of reasonably priced memorabilia and there's a cafe and free parking too. All in all, a great, low cost attraction with a beautiful ambiance and helpful, welcoming staff. I'd highly recommend it!Visited October 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 25 October 2023
- williambb54Chester, United Kingdom121 contributionsA Must Visit PlaceDefinitely worth a visit. The exhibition is truly fantastic. The way they use the audio technology is superb. You are truly immersed in the exhibition. The gardens are so spiritual, plus an easy walk. The food in the cafe, well priced and value for money.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 October 2023
- UnhappyCustomer20 contributionsAn inspiring taleWe had a short stay in Liverpool mid week and decided to tour Strawberry Field. What an amazing experience - no only did it unveil a deep history but the interactive aids (device and headphones) gave sun an immersive experience. The staff were not only very knowledgeable, but very helpful and friendly. Giving opportunities too to disadvantaged individuals with learning difficulties was really inspiring. We didn’t have time to tour the gardens, but this can be an adventure for another day. This is very insightful, deep Beatles history and a look into the childhood of John Lennon. This is highly a recommended place to visit with something for everyone.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 2 November 2023
- Gary H1 contributionFab magical mystery tripWe went with a local group( Dementia Together Wirral) on a coach from Birkenhead, we had a really good trip. The grounds at Strawberry Field were nice with plenty of interesting quotes on display alongside various exhibits. The best part was the spoken guide, Gilly who brought the items in the museum/exhibition to life with her commentary. It was fascinating to see the actual piano that John Lennon composed and recorded iconic songs on. The restaurant is well worth a mention as both the service and food were excellent especially considering we were a party of 30 alongside regular visitors. All the staff were helpful and friendly towards our group which was appreciated, thanks. We had a fab trip.Hello there Thank you so much for your really kind review of Strawberry Field. It really was a pleasure to welcome you all and deliver a spoken guided tour. It really was so nice to meet you all and share my knowledge of the local area. We hope that you visit us again in the future. Thanks again. They sang happy birthday to mum and brought a slice of cake with a candle on it....all unexpected. We had seen the Lennon exhibition before ( its good ) so just had a little walk around the garden. Many thanks to the staff.Visited November 2023Travelled with familyWritten 16 November 2023

The food was not only gorgeous but also served hot and fresh, surpassing our expectations. The staff, especially Chantelle and the assistant manager, made the occasion special by presenting a delightful birthday cake and singing for my mum. Their warmth and attention to detail elevated the entire dining experience. I highly recommend Strawberry Fields Cafe for its delicious food and exceptional service. - Eric OLiverpool, United Kingdom32 contributionsEnjoyable visit to iconic placeVisited the Salvation Army home in Liverpool made famous by John Lennon’s record if the same name. The exhibition brought back some vivid recollections and new information of the organisation and Johns connection to the site. Quite evocative in parts. It’s not huge but the gardens were closed (due to storm damage) so you can easily spend a few hours here. The coffee shop & souvenir area are well catered for - and money raised us going to a worthy cause. Met Jilly who was a great ambassador for the site- she was lovely, chatty & informative. Will be returning in better weather to walk around the grounds that we had to missHi there, Thank you for a lovely review of your experience and visit at Strawberry Field. This was our first visit to Strawberry Fields since it reopened and what a fab time we had. We ate in the cafe and the organisation was excellent, we felt safe - they are following all the safety guidelines - and the food was delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. We sat outside, which was gorgeous, looking over the beautiful grounds. I would recommend this place to Beatle fans and non Beatle fans alike!

Ow my God, ow my God, ow my God. This was one of my best experiences ever in my life! I’m a big Beatles fan and to be at the Strawberry field was so special! The field is full with quotes about love and peace, which gives the area a spiritual atmosphere. To know that John Lennon use to walk around here, to know that he is the one who’s the owner of a lot of beautiful quotes, is stunning! I felt so zen here.
And then there was one of the staff members, her name was Therese. She was amazing; so warm, so kind and very well-informed. I’m so glad that we met you Therese. Thanks for everything! I hope you remember us (Ayse from the Netherlands and Sergio from Argentina). Like i said to you; i will come one day back to work as a volunteer in the Strawberry field!

This is such a wonderful place to visit. We received the most warm and friendly welcome from ALL the staff who were attentive and full of smiles throughout.
We didn’t know what to expect when we arrived but the instructions given to us were clear and concise and helped set up a wonderful experience. We were given a headset and media device and were advised that we visit the garden first as the exhibition was a little crowded.
All the right notes have been struck for the concept and delivery of both the exhibition and garden. A perfect blend of information and freedom to listen to music whilst contemplating.
The experience gives you time to learn, to think, to listen and to relax. It’s such an enjoyable experience, we spent two and a half hours here!
The food in the cafe was delicious and there was some great merchandise in the shop. Lots of cool t-shirts to choose from! Of course, the original Strawberry Field gates are worth a photo stop but there is plenty more to discover and enjoy.

I arrived quite weary & chilly having got the wrong bus (should have got the 76) & in great need of a hot drink. All the café staff were great, welcoming & friendly & I soon settled with a lovely hot chocolate. The atmosphere was so peaceful & welcoming. Then I went to go round the exhibition & Patrick sold me my ticket. He was so enthusiastic, warm & friendly. I’d never used an app before but he explained it to me in such a clear & very unpatronIsing way. It may seem a bit expensive for those unable to get a concession but I feel it’s worth it & any profits stay on the site. It was about ¼ about the history of the site & the rest about John Lennon with references obviously to the Beatles & George Martin. I needed a chair at one point & Patrick soon cheerily brought 1 in. I spent at least 2 hours in there as there is so much to see (you can go in & out if need be). Then the tour of the garden was really helpful. I had a lovely tea & cake after. I went to buy some of the lovely items in the shop & asked for some literature to take back to my hotel. Whilst Patrick served me Theresa went to get that for me. She was great too so friendly & helpful. As I was leaving after having had such a lovely day Patrick came out in the cold to show me the edging that is being made from the buy a brick donations. Whilst waiting for the bus (76!)I got chatting with the other passenger waiting who turned out to be the chef from the restaurant. He proudly told me how everything was freshly prepare, nothing frozen. Next time will make sure I have a meal there.

What a wonderful place! Lovely greeting when we walked in. Great shop with reasonable prices. Had some food in the cafe and a walk around the lovely gardens. All of the staff we came across were so friendly and helpful. Can catch a bus from the city to there for around £7.00 return which is great value. Great to see how the site has been transformed and all for a good cause. Definitely worth a visit.

Just returned from a most fabulous couple of hours spent here, I would recommend it to everybody. Did the tour with the headset, easy to use, so well laid out and informative, spent 1.45 hours here could have spent more, so interesting. Then we went through cafe( food look fab and it was full to capacity) , then out to the garden, what a lovely space, time to enjoy nature and reflection, you can play music too as you walk around. Have a lovely shop. Also , and most important the stalk we came across and without exception , were all lovely and extremely helpful. We will be returning for a bite to eat, and a stroll around the garden, this you can do any time free of charge. You can see time, effort and love has gone in to this venture, it shows, thank you 💕carol and peter 😘

Our daughter bought an afternoon tea for us at strawberry fields Beaconsfield Road Liverpool. There was a large parking area, we went through to the entrance ( we wore our masks) where a gentleman took our temperature then we washed our hands and a young man showed us to the restaurant. A lovely lady (Sandra T ) greeted us she was so warm and welcoming and had one of the best smiles ever, she showed us to our table then we took off our masks she asked us would we like a drink, Sandra brought us our drinks and she was chatty and very friendly. A fantastic chef whose name was Anthony brought our afternoon tea WOW! He explained what was on the sandwiches also there were sausage rolls, mini pork pies, quiche mini Victoria sponges and large scones with jam and cream. Sandra told us that Anthony makes the sausage rolls from scratch we asked Sandra to ask if Anthony could spare a minute or two, we thanked Anthony as his sausage rolls were to die for!!! We ordered some more drinks ( the tea comes with a mug👍) later on I had a look around the gift shop and bought a few souvenirs. There were screens showing some of the work that the Salvation Army do, they help so many people from different backgrounds this was so lovely to watch and it made us realise how lucky we are. Sandra was very busy but nothing was to much trouble for her. We have been to some lovely places for afternoon tea but this venue was far the best. Thanks again Sandra and Anthony (and the rest of the staff) for giving us an afternoon to remember. ( Anthony let us buy some extra sausage rolls to buy to take home 😋 also we couldn’t finish everything so they packed up what was left for us to take with us. We would highly recommend this place. 😁

Memorial a música dos Beatles Strawberry Fields Forever.
The song is more about Lennon's insecurities and his tough childhood. The title of the song refers to the Salvation Army-ran girl's orphanage – dreamily called “Strawberry Field” – that Lennon lived near growing up in Liverpool. Here's the real story behind the song “Strawberry Fields Forever.”

We visited yesterday, absolutely loved every thing, listening to the history of the Salvation Army right through to John Lennon and the Beatles connection to Strawberry Field. The whole set up is awesome, helping young adults with additional needs and disabilities with life skills and employment.....what a fantastic place!!! Gutted we were unable to see the gardens as the weather was shocking. The staff were all lovely and so helpful! All this and free parking too! Thankyou x

This is really an ace place. You have perfectly meditative gardens to wonder and sit and reflect. You have those gates and the graffiti and where the old Salvation Army Orphanage stood is the new Strawberry Fields Visitor Centre which has a great gift shop and the "Imagine Cafe" which serves super food and all the monies raised here goes to charity. The exhibition centre is also here and this is the only thing that costs. Julia (John's sister) is the patron and president. As a poet I was touched to write:
"And as those shimmering images pass the days remain as yesterday. To those times those places I shall return"

Hi! I am aware that there is a minibus service available but I would rather park at the venue itself. I am also aware that there is limited parking available but in reality, how much parking is actually available?
Many thanks.

Plenty of free parking. St Peters church up road on right ( Eleanor Rigby grave) over road church hall where John met Paul. Out of strawberry Field, turn left, at bottom turn left again to see Mimis house where John lived. Have a lovely time 👍👍👍
