Having lived on Metseyside for most of our lives my husband and I are finally getting around to visiting local places of interest instead of ones in far away places. My husband was interested in the John Higgins exhibition, we both found it very informative....More

This is a lovely little hidden gem of a museum in the City Centre. We visited to watch a movie and the kids had a great time. Lots of curiosities, and a rather scary historical dentistry collection! The building is beautiful and all staff friendly...More

Not exactly a 'hidden' gem, (you can't miss the clock tower) but maybe one that people miss out on. Set in a beautiful university building it's a mixture of small museum, featuring some interesting dental items, and art gallery with changing displays plus a cafeteria.

This hidden gem deserves far more recognition than it currently receives, not only for the quality of the exhibits, but the magnificent architecture that this Victorian Liverpool University building boasts. In some ways, cowering in the shadows of the two larger Liverpool museums, this site...More

Beautiful building housing a diverse and quirky collection. You have to put a bit of work in yourself - the displays are attractive and well thought through, but don't spoon feed you or use the multimedia technology you might see in larger museums - but...More

I don't usually write bad reviews, but was disappointed by this museum. The building itself was more interesting than its contents. There are some art exhibitions and a small gallery of ceramics. The historical collections on display are an eccentric mix, for example there are...More
