Had a lovely morning here in the summer. The park is larger than you first think and the glass house is amazing. Parking was free and was only a short stroll to Larke Lane were we had a great lunch

Liverpool is justly proud of its green spaces and Sefton Park is the jewel in the crown. The fantastic Palm House is used for concerts throughout the year and there are plenty of lovely places to picnic or just to watch the world go by....More

A friend was keen to show me the park so we got up early and had a really nice walk around. It was quiet and peaceful. We even saw a heron. Parking was easy.

The park isnt locked so you can go as early as you like! And yes you can take a picnic, there are some benches near the swings and by the palm house, however, you could eat your picnic anywhere! Hope this helps!
