We went for a stroll on a sunny May morning, it was great to see the park looking in such good nick. There was lots of activity taking place, kids from the Academy of St Francis of Assisi doing sports, young kids playing on the swings etc. People just out for a walk. Fab. Good to see some new saplings... More

I walk this route every Saturday and Sunday morning. And by morning, I mean at around 4am/5am. That's when this park is at it's prettiest, catching the really early sunrise. I recommend entering via Carstairs rd (kensington side) and walking round to Donkey's Hill which will allow you to take in the beautiful lake. Then a leisurely walk around Newsham... More

Took advantage of a mild sunny afternoon to enjoy a walk through the autumn leaves. The colours were stunning , it was so relaxing and nice to see children enjoying the swings and skateboarders enjoying 'their' park. We sat on a bench but it was surrounded by detritus left by people who do not value this green space. But we... More

A lovely quiet victorian style park, surrounded by large houses. A lovely place to walk and relax. You hardly ever see anybody - just a few dog walkers. Pleasant and quiet - no real photo opportunities, though..

Great big open space with plenty of greenery and lakes and fountains for a nice chilled day out and if you also get the chance to do a paranormal night at newsham park I'd recommend it as you get to see a great historical building and all the history that I'd behind it like the fact the white star shipping... I have lived near this park all of my life, played footy, cricket, tennis and jogged in it. It provides our green lung as a counter to the pollution in an inner city area. Plus on a sunny day it can look stunning . Always good to see people using all of its free facilities, especially the school kids on... More
