A former school tucked away in the city center. One of the oldest and most attractive buildings in Liverpool now plays host to contemporary art and performance displays. The rear secret garden is a tranquil, picturesque place to take a breather from the surrounding hubbub.

THE BLUECOAT is one of Liverpool's most historic buildings and one of its oldest. Built between 1716--1617 the building on School Lane look awesome as do the gardens. I love to sit in the gardens and take in the tranquil atmosphere of this oasis of peace in the bustling shopping streets around this area. The buildings look magnificent ,originally built... More

This art gallery is a great place to take a break from the bustle of the city centre, with a very relaxing garden contained within the building.

Popped into the current Keith Piper exhibition & found it fascinating & though provoking. The exhibitions are always great & because they are in the city centre & on a relatively small scale,... Always loved these beautiful buildings and little court yards. When i walk through the gates i instantly feel like the noise and speed of this great city have been turned down several notches and can quite easily spend several hours sitting in the court yards enjoying the feel and history of Bluecoat and just people watching. You can also get... More

Get along when the light dips in the evening to experience the super fab "Light - Musical Instrument" ..... a kind of illuma phonium invention by the entrance. Love the magical colour display and worth taking the detour to expereince ..... then grab a bite or coffee inside. Its FREE so seek out and enjoy

A tranquil little oasis in the heart of the city to recharge your batteries. Pleasant coffee shop and courtyard garden. A few artisan shops and lovely architectural features.

Firstly, the upstairs bistro was closed which meant meals and drinks were served downstairs in the cafe. I waited at the counter whilst the 3 staff members finished their conversation for a minute...
