We went in through a wall on the street following other tourists. Passed the cafe and saw no staff to enquire. Only sign to the registrars office. Strange place. Don't know what it is. 2 staff did appear but ignored us all. Ended up in a small passage so we retraced our steps and left. Near the main steps we... More

I had hope to have the opportunity to climb up to the viewing gallery for a chance to view the hall, but due to a private function this was out of bounds. Nevertheless I did spend almost a hour on the free heritage route which takes you from the cells and punishment exhibits up into the court rooms and judges... More

A quick visit at the time, this building is gorgeous. The great hall has since been completed and looks absolutely wonderful, but at the time, it was still beautiful! The organ was so impressive, as well as the ceiling! We spent a good time just looking around at the court room and anything else we could find. The day we... More

We visited as storm Doris hit the town so I needed somewhere to take my 2 teenage daughters that was inside. This place is really interesting. We visited the courtroom and old cells which are fascinating. The great hall was closed to the public on the day I went as there was another event going on in there but they... More

The Golden Girls were at College in Liverpool 50 years ago, they live all over the country now but meet up in Liverpool from time to time. I booked a guided tour of St Georges Hall and the staff were helpful and flexable. We were honored to have Steve , the resident Historian to welcome us and give some background... More

Part of a small group escorted by 2 very knowledgeable tour guides (dressed as footmen) Looking at the history of the building , its construction, how it ran in its heyday . Public rooms, basement cellars, catacombs , roof voids, grand public rooms. Life in the 1800's . Civil and Crown court rooms, holding rooms for prisoners. took just over... More

I cannot in all honesty understand why anyone would wish to destroy the natural beauty of a building. Who came up with the idea of sticking an extremely large head of shrek on top of a building? Ignoring the fact that it had no apparent meaning to it I can only in my utter dismay and state how ugly it... More

Very interesting building. Walk through the old jail house and the old court was great. ( 9 year old was especially taken with the holding cell !!!).

Very cheap--very amateurish show that's using..the narnia experience..as a cover to promote religion. Some creepy people in there, dontake you kids you be very disappointed and like us you might come close to smacking one of them when they get too close to your kids. 😡
