Beatles story started here, so Casbah is a must see for every music fan. Our tour was done by Roag, Pete Best's brother. The place is a bit surreal because it's not the typical touristic place you expect, but it's worth the visit. Roag is very energetic and it's talking for 2 hours about Beatles, Casbah stories, his family involvement... More

Who better to lead a Beatles tour than a former Beatle's brother? Roag Best was the best! (hah) We had such an incredible time touring the Casbah and seeing the original stage where John, Paul, George, and Pete played. It was like going back in time because most of it has been untouched since the early 60's. Roag was such... More

Loved visiting the real birthplace of the Beatles. Hearing the real stories from Rory who was there from the beginning. Learning how the guys painted the place. Being able to sit at the piano and in the very stool that John and Paul sat and played gave me goosebumps!

I visited yesterday with 3 other adults in our 30s and a 4 month old in a pram. We were unsure of how to enter at first as we hadbt booked, but were soon greeted and spent a fantastic hour with Rory Best and his wife walking around and hearing about the life of the Best family and the start... Without a doubt the highlight of our trip to "Liddypool", with the National Trust Tours a close second. To be actually stand in the place where the Beatles started (even before the Cavern) is an experience I will never forget! Rory Best was funny, insightful and to hear him talk was to almost be there.

I have been looking forward to visiting the Casbah for ages and today I did it! It didn't disappoint at all. I am a Beatles nut and I came away having learned something new, and the tour (for on the face of it of course a small venue) was an information-packed couple of hours with someone with first hand knowledge... A little known fact that it was here the Fab 4 started. Souvenirs available. Downstairs owned and run by the family of the original drummer

If you are a true Beatles fan this is a must see! Very happy I decided to take the trip, and Rogue Best presented this magnificent place of history with unbelievable energy. Amazing story to be told,. Wish I had more time to hang around after the tour, but a new gang was heading down the stairs..

If you are in Liverpool, please make sure you take the time to visit the Casbah. I knew nothing about this place, my husband is the Beatles fan. I stood outside wondering what was this placee was. Boy oh boy, I know now. I don't want to give too much away, but Roag Best brings the history to life. Please... More
