We spent a couple of hours walking around enjoying and exploring the developments and history. Nice to see the contrast of new and old.

It would be easy to spend a couple entertaining of hours here. There are some interesting ships, shops, bars, snack bars and eateries, not to mention the Tate museum. The buskers are of a high quality too.

There's a variety of attractions, within the dock area, from lots of free museums, shops, restaurants, boat trips, and lots of nice walks. Little bit "faded" in places, but lovely to while away some time.

No Hesaltine wasn't the architect, he was the Tory politician who saved the Albert Dock from demolition in early 1980. I think the architect was named Hartley. Wonderful brick warehouse renovated to house bars, restaurants and the Tate gallery. A must see for any visitor to Liverpool.
