One of the iconic statue's in Liverpool is Eleanor Rigby Statue.
A wonderful statue, the work of entertainer Tommy Steele and a statue that pays homage to Eleanor Rigby from The Beatles album " Revolver " .
It's a nice statue to view ,its a perfect selfie monument, its well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Stanley Street.

Along Stanley Street is this fantastic statue dedicated to " all the lonely people " ,the Eleanor Rigby Statue pays homage to the song from The Beatles album " Revolver .
The sculpture was the work of entertainer Tommy Steele ,it's not well detailed but it is emblematic ,there's no discernible features on the face and this is were the message " to all the lonely people " is conveyed ,how many times have we all walked passed a homeless or vulnerable person without even looking at their face ,into their eyes ,I think we've all been guilty of this ,so the statue makes you think, that's my opinion anyway ,it's a statue well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Stanley Street.

Tommy Steele sculpture in the heart of the Beatles area.

This couldn’t be better placed to add to the vibrancy this whole area exudes. Loved my visit to Mathew Street and the adjacent streets. This is another must see for Beatles fans. On the ‘A’ list!!

Before entering the Cavern Quarter and Mathew Street is the Eleanor Rigby Statue, a really good statue and a proper good selfie opportunity.
Located on Stanley Street, the statue is the work of entertainer Tommy Steele, although his fee was only 3p the actual cost of the statue cost £4000 .
The statue pays homage to Eleanor Rigby, a character made famous in the Beatles song ,in these terrible covid 19 times the statue's significance is even more heightened, with more people being forbid to mix and spend more time in their homes and alone ,the suffering caused by the pandemic will probably lead to more suffering and depression so this statue is in my opinion really bringing attention to " all the lonely people ".
Its a lovely statue, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area and easy to locate along Stanley Street.

The statue of Eleanor Rigby is in Stanley Street which is just around the corner from Mathew Street. Compared to many of the other statues around the city commemorating Liverpool's musical history I found it very poignant.

There is a nice plaque above the statue saying it was funded by Tommy Steele. There is also a bench to sit on so you can have your picture taken with Eleanor or just have a rest.

The Eleanor Rigby statue is a superb little attraction along Stanley Street that always attracts its fair share of tourists getting that all important selfie.
Made famous by the wonderful and evocative song from The Beatles ,the statue is dedicated to all the lonely people, it is in fact the work of entertainer Tommy Steele who was payed the grand sum of 3p to sculpt this lovely piece of street art,the council put up the £4000 it cost .
The statue is not detailed, this is intentional as it represents no one and everyone as in some time during our life we all feel lonely.
Easy to locate along Stanley Street, most definitely well worth a visit.

The work of singer Tommy Steele and costing £4000 is the statue to Eleanor Rigby which has to be one of Liverpool's most famous statues, a proper selfie magnet immortalised in the famous Beatles song , the statue is not well detailed ,this was a conscious act by the sculptor as the statue is dedicated to as the song goe's " all the lonely people ".
The statue is easy to locate just off Mathew Street on Stanley Street and is most definitely well worth checking out.

A bit too modern for me, but couldn't resist stopping and keeping her company for a while. There are still a lot of lonely people evident in Liverpool today,
