    Quirky
A fave of mine. A “secret” pub which is quirky, old and very interesting. One of the oldest pubs in the city. It’s a must if your either a Beatles fan or want a quirky pub to visit. It’s a must visit.

Fabulous little gem of a pub
Visited this fabulous little gem after reading the reviews. Certainly not disappointed. As Lesley told us you come in as a customer leave as a friend. I would recommend anyone visiting Liverpool to seek out this pub. Your guaranteed a very friendly welcome. Thanks to Lesley for a wonderful evening. Laura, Sharon & Lorna

    Traditional locals pub
Great locals pub. Recommended by our cab driver or we would have never have found it. Great atmosphere & cracking juke box (if u like Indie music!) Very friendly vibe even tho it was clearly all locals. A very traditional local, not a touristy place at all, loved it!

    Historic Old Pub.
Ye Cracke on Rice street is a fantastic pub that offer's a fantastic range of drinks and is a pub associated with the Beatles. We've been visiting the Ye Cracke for many years and what a great pub it is. It's a fantastic multi-roomed pub with many interesting fixtures and features relating to the Beatles. There's brilliant seating options throughout this 19th century pub and when we visited it was starting to get busy. When we visited here we had a few glasses of cask ale's which where served in perfect condition and where well priced. This pub is a superb pub to visit especially if you are a Beatles fan and like cask ales and is a pub well worth a visit and it's only a few minute's walk from the South Hunter street bus stop. (This is my fourth review of Ye Cracke). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-12.00-23.00. Friday-Saturday-12.00-00.00. Sunday-12.00-22.30. Hours May Differ From Above. Public Transport. Bus Stop. Great real ale pub
Walking around the wonderful Georgian Quarter of Liverpool my twin brother and I decided to drop into Ye Cracke Pub ,been here many times over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. A great looking pub, multi roomed, wonderful decor and furnishings, an eye catching serving bar, great wall art and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub,its just a really good pub to unwind in . We were here on a Thursday afternoon, pub had just opened for the day so we were about the first customers of the day, a quick study of their real ale's and in the end we both opted to have pale ale's from Spitting Feathers Brewery, these were served in excellent condition,we chilled out and planned out the day ahead while sipping our pale ale's. My pale ale was really good, well balanced, well crafted, hints of toffee, a delicious aroma and aftertaste with a smooth finish, a classic British pale ale served in a classic British pale, it was just so good being in such a lovely pub enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Ye Cracke Pub we had a great time. Ye Cracke Pub is easy to locate along Rice Street. Opening hours are ; Monday to Sunday, open from midday. Most definitely a pub to check out if you're in the Georgian Quarter of Liverpool.

Called here for a pint on the recommendation of our tour guide and we were not disappointed. It’s a real, old- fashioned, northern pub with no pretensions of being anything else. We loved the fact that it hadn’t been knocked about into one large space and it felt like stepping back in time.
The barmaid was a star - as quirky a character as the pub - direct but friendly and the locals were also friendly enough considering we were complete strangers.

Wandering around the beautiful Georgian Quarter my twin brother Stephen and I decided to drop into The Ye Cracke Pub and what a great time we had.
This is a very good pub,the interior is superb, multi roomed, great decor and furnishings, a cool looking serving bar, great wall art and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden.
We were here on a Thursday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff, we track and traced and sanitised our hands and we were allocated a table were we ordered a pale ale each, served in pristine condition, we just soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub.
My pale ale was really good, a crisp, well balanced pale ale with a big hit of hops, hints of caramel and a delicious aroma, a quality brew indeed.
This is a seriously popular pub, on our visit it was busy with a great atmosphere but with ale's this good hardly surprising really.
We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time.
The Ye Cracke Pub is easy to locate along Rice Street.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday, Midday till 11pm.
Friday & Saturday, Midday till Midnight.
Sunday, Midday till 10.30pm.
A great pub, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of town when we decided to drop into The Ye Cracke Pub,a pub we always look forward to visiting.
I love the look of this pub,it's got a traditional interior ,dark wood features throughout ,multi roomed ,pubby decor and furnishings ,a cool looking serving bar and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside in their beer garden.
We were here on a Thursday night,we ordered a pale ale from Wychwood Brewery, these were served in excellent condition,we settled down and took in the great vibe in this busy and popular pub.
My pale ale was really good,a big fan of the beers brewed by Wychwood Brewery, this pale ale was a rich, hoppy but not over hopped ale ,hints of coffee,a slightly malty aftertaste, just a really good pale ale ,it was just so good being in such a great pub enjoying a quality brew.
We really enjoyed our pale ale's in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time.

Went to Ye Cracke for the first time on Monday evening and returned with my son, as he is a fan of a certain beat combo, on Tuesday. Greeted by different but equally friendly staff on both occasions. Clientele was very diverse, from locals to students (the university is nearby) and tourists like ourselves. Ye Cracke is unspoiled, retaining its original features and different drinking areas. Apparently the large room beyond the bar was added in the last 40 years, but doesn't detract from the atmosphere. I had an excellent pint of Conwy Brewery's Scrum Down ale on both visits and Wrexham Lager in bottle, which I've never seen outside Wales before. Can't wait to visit Liverpool again so I can return to Ye Cracke. If I was a local it would be my local!

Cracking haha pub. I love coming here with my Dad as part of our Sunday crawl as opposed to the ones in actual town now. Good mix of tourists and locals and fantastic barmaid. I always recommend it to my mates who aren't from Liverpool for a true slice of history

A must visit!! I find that the best experiences are the unplanned ones! Maria and I were looking for something to do one afternoon in Liverpool and I found Ye Cracke as one of John Lennon’s favorite pubs when he was young. The woman that owns this pub is one of the nicest people you will find! She took a picture of me behind her bar as though I was pouring a pint! And the people we met there that afternoon were so much fun to talk to! We did not want to leave! Great memorabilia on the walls and this place has character! Please make your way there. You won’t be sorry! Bob and Maria Halloran

Good pub, good atmosphere. Rude barman ruined it. Bought a whiskey for a friend who requested no ice. When the barman was about to put ice in it without asking, I requested no ice. He seemed miffed and walked away muttering something to the barmaid. Then asked in a passive aggressive way whether I wanted ice with my cider.
