Just s few minutes downhill from the cathedral, the Bishops Palace has commanding views over the city. The old buildings are in use today as a hotel and conference centre, and the remains of some of the ancient buildings are still there to see.

Unfortunately most of the bishops palace is closed at present but it is free to enter the tower. There is a film to watch about the history and importance of the palace which is worth watching. Lovely staff
