Visited during the Xmas market, it was very busy and the courtyard full of stalls, however there was still room to look around at the castle. Worth a visit.

Great views form walking round the walls and loads of info to read or listen to. The gaol is great to visit and tells its history well with many interactive displays.

The main reason for our visit to the castle was to view the one and only famous Magna Carta .Sadly we were informed it wasn't currently being housed there but would be returning within a week .Gone to a secret location stated the desk assistant-- very "cloak and dagger!!! " We still enjoyed a pleasant tour though and will return... More

We got a combined ticket for the wall walk and the Victorian prison building. Unfortunately as it was Christmas market weekend the observatory was closed and the magna carta had been removed (there was a small discount). The prison was fascinating with innovative and well thought out films and interactive screens. Don't miss out the bizarre prison chapel on the... More

Loved the poppies display earlier this year, more events like this will see both local and faraway visitors turn out. Visited Christmas market in the grounds on last day which was well laid out and not so crowded. Shame the Castle itself was not open as this is a missed opportunity.

Thank you for your review. Lincoln Castle opens from 10am - 4pm throughout the Christmas Market and our shop and cafe remain open into the evening. Our Medieval Wall Walk is very popular throughout the day as it offers visitors a fantastic view of the much loved Market. More

The grandeur of the castle is magnificent. Steeped in history. Very popular, and being able to walk round the top of the walls gives you a truly amazing view of a beautiful town. A definite must see.

The castle itself is iconic, but the true highlight is seeing the Magna Carta. If it's a nice day, highly recommend the Castle Wall Walk with the self-guided audio tour. Only complaint is that several of the numbered stops for audio points of interest are missing their numbers or too easy to miss. Parts of the Victorian Prison were interesting... More

It costs £5 or £4 for OAPs to access the Castle Walkway but this is an absolute must if visiting Lincoln. The panoramic 360 degree view of the city is amazing. There is a spiral staircase or a lift to get upto the top and either listen to the commentary on the individual radios or there are information plaques at... More

Beautiful setting with views of the Cathedral. Some fantastic building inside and a great walk around the medieval walls to enjoy. It is incredible that the courthouse is still in use and adds to the setting. The Magna Carta exhibit was really interesting and informative, while the Victorian Jail has a lot of exhibits to keep people of all ages... More
