Generations of Leicester folk have used this as a meeting point. Sadly the area around it (Belgrave Gate) is a bit run down with lots of Pound shop try shops/rough sleepers. However not far to the Shires or whatever they call the big shoppig centre...More

Recognisable local landmark and meeting place - all roads lead to it. As well as serving this useful purpose it seems increasingly to attract people selling God, timeshares, charitable sign ups etc and as such a place to be navigated past carefully, in addition to...More

it is where you're likely to agree to meet someone in Leicester but at the same time you might encounter some less agreeable types. Interesting history but not much about it on site.

One of the most attractive places in Leicester, it is in the city centre, excellent for out door activities with family and friends. very good location for shops and visitors.

Well, what can I say? It's a clock tower in the centre of Leicester City, where everyone arranges to meet up with their friends, partners etc, as it's a well-known, easy landmark to find, and anyone will tell you how to get to it. Our...More

As clock towers go its pretty average and the activities around it don't add up to much either. Shame because as a central focal point it could be so much better.

You pass this tower almost without noticing it. If you are interested in architecture, then perhaps it will get its photo taken, but otherwise it isn't the kind of building you'd travel especially to see. However, I have learnt that some things deserve a closer...More

I would not say that this is a tourist attraction as it is in the middle of a busy square surrounded by the Highcross shopping centre and shops. However, it cannot be denied that the architecture of this is lovely. So, if you are going...More
