More
Leicestershire CCC is a county that believes in giving young players an opportunity through its thriving Academy set-up. The club has a high-class coaching structure for 2018 with Paul Nixon as Head Coach, John Sadler as Assistant Coach and Andy Siddall as Academy Director. The team won the T20 trophy in 2011 for an unprecedented third time. The Foxes previously lifted the T20 trophy in 2004 and 2006, and have also won the County Championship three times in the club's history. The club first lifted the Championship in 1975, which was the best year in the club’s history given the team also won the Benson and Hedges Cup and beat Australia in a tour game. Leicestershire CCC then completed the remarkable feat of winning the County Championship twice in three years in 1996 and 1998.

We have now been twice to Grace Road Cricket Ground. It is a good venue, although non member seating is a bit limited, and was lacking in shade on a very hot day (luckily the member area seating was also made available), or cover on...More

Because I live just north of Leicester, my trips to Grace Road involve a journey along Welford Road and then either Saffron Lane or Aylestone Road. I therefore pass the rugby ground (home of the Tigers, one of the great European teams for many years)...More

Went to Grace Road yesterday to watch my team Yorkshire Vikings in the t20. A hard fought game with Leicestershire just winning. Lots of beer and food outlets are available. Good natured friendly locals always make this trip an enjoyable one.

Grace Road is a well appointed cricket ground, with excellent views of the playing area, just a shame about the team. The bars are easily accessible, the food is quality and the atmosphere excellent.

a fab cricket ground - good vision wherever you sit as a venue for a gig - well set out queues were not too bad - good staff well supportive of health and safety and helpful
