Its like being transported back in time...hundreds of WW2 soldiers (and medics, landgirls, ladies and gents) parade around an enormous site (4 fields +) putting on reenactments complete with mortar fire and bombing raids! Thoroughly enjoyed the visit and might go again next year. It was a little light on the air side though and more aircraft would be nice. The loss of the Vulcan display left a major hole in the Sunday display which wasn't filled. Still good...More

You can catch the 84 bus from St Margarets bus station in Leicester city centre. I recommend getting off at the Park Close stop in Cosby. walk towards the co-op, then turn right and follow the croft road.

They are, but personally I wouldn't take a dog because of the noise from the battle.
